PSG have Aurier. So they don't need Van Der Weil. He isn't as good as people think.

Our biggest advantage regarding Alderweireld is that he seems to be a level headed bloke. He wants to play, he's aware he might not get first team football in Atletico, Chelsea ecc., and he knows he played the best football of his career in Southampon.

It's refreshing to hear player of his quality say how much he likes it here and he seems to know how apprerciated he is.

Don't know anything about him, but he ticks all the boxes.

Could it be that we made a deal for Clyne with Liverpool/Man United but put it to hold until we buy a replacement?
Also bear in mind that we didn't have a natural replacement for Clyne last season if he got injured/suspended. Toby A was adequate but I would like to see a CB of that quality dragged out of position to cover elsewhere.
Shares may be an addition to not necessarily instead of Clyne...lets hope so

Exactly, Les Reed himself said in an interview he wanted RB cover, so even if Clyne goes, you'd expect two RB's to come in.

We will get 15-20 for Clyne. Expecting 35m is insane. His contract situation lowers the price we can ask considerably, if it's a move he wants then he has all the power and I'd be furious if the club let him go for nothing in a year.
