    Yeah a google of his name and southampton earlier pulled up a thread on oatcake (stoke) forum where they were under the impression he was imminent since Friday - they didn't seem to happy when this news about us came out this morning <laugh>

    According to Graeme Bailey Stoke are in pole position to sign soares despite southampton reports. We have not been given permission to speak to the player yet.

    Slightly disappointed about Remy, think he is a great player and exactly the sort of striker we need in the squad. Would much prefer him to Austin.
