Great to see your life turning round Tees
Brilliant stuff mate, keep us posted. I'll keep an eye out on Play Cricket, sounds like a couple great performances, well done to him. That would be the Infernos, who lost the first game by 4 runs but I understand they won the second game by about that many.
Isaac plays for the Hawks, who lost the first game by 59 runs (he opened the bowling and bowled 2 overs for 12 runs, no wickets and then got 6 no, going in at number 10).
However, in the second game the Hawks batted first and scored around 150 (Isaac didn’t bat).
However, he opened the bowling again and after 2 singles he bowled one of the openers with a yorker, hitting his off stump and then next ball bowled the next lad (left hander so changed to round the wicket) off his pads. In his next over he had someone caught to achieve a wicket maiden. They the brought him back on when they were 9 down and he bowled the last lad out, middle stump, to finish with figures of 4 for 7. I was absolutely beaming with pride, thinking that 2 years ago he had no interest in playing and he didn’t want to go and play for his local club because "they will all be better than me". Fortunately he was persuaded to give it ago and after only 1 season of playing and I had the privilege of being there to watch him.
I understand that his next game is at Burnmoor on Thursday 6th June.
Quality. The Bellingham parents will be proud as punch. Produced 2 superb footballers

Thanks, he did well and those were his first wickets this season across all age groups, so not a bad time to do it. Yeah, the Play Cricket site hasn't updated the results for the 2nd games yet - I keep checking because I want to see it written downBrilliant stuff mate, keep us posted. My son has the u13/u14 observation session next Tuesday.
An update on this, he didn’t Jack it in, he stuck at it and is now a lead paramedic with two pips on his shoulders and drives around in a Volvo emergency response vehicle. Stick with it kids, the world is your oyster even if you don’t know how to boil an egg. “Proud moment” the sequel. Poor bastard has the Redcar area thoughOh well can anyone join?
My son who once asked his mam if you need to remove an egg shell before you hard boil it, is a Paramedic in Stockton. That was one proud day at Teesside Uni, which I thought whilst dragging them up, that I would never see. I don’t care, I’m still proud to say, my son is a Paramedic. The down side is he’s constantly being assaulted and is thinking of jacking it all in.
Fantastic update. You should be justifiably proud of him.An update on this, he didn’t Jack it in, he stuck at it and is now a lead paramedic with two pips on his shoulders and drives around in a Volvo emergency response vehicle. As the father of a young man on the autistic spectrum, you have every reason to be proud there. My son keeps on surprising me with how he deals with life. Never met a happier person. Just keep being proud of your kids.Im proud of all my kids, but my youngest daughter and son are the two that continue to astound me with how they cope with the hand life has dealt them.
My daughter is down syndrome and lights up a room with her love, personality and humour. She only sees the best in everyone and just wants everyone to be happy and feel loved
My son has photosensitive and absence epilepsy and we are 2 years into his autism diagnosis. He was horribly bullied at his last school, to the point we had to get the police involved and only now is starting to come out of the shadow that cast over him.
Maybe not the achievements that scream successful but to me and my good lady they are things to be proud of
He has been selected for the u13 Rockets. Thanks, he did well and those were his first wickets this season across all age groups, so not a bad time to do it. Yeah, the Play Cricket site hasn't updated the results for the 2nd games yet - I keep checking because I want to see it written down
Good luck to your son next week, hopefully he has a good session![]()

He managed to get his name on the electronic scoreboard @ CLS when they played there recently and bowled a maiden over, which was great to see.
Thanks, although the next will be the most difficult, as you know. However, his confidence is growing all the time, as he takes in all of the things the coaches are telling him. That's fantastic news mate, fingers crossed he can get into the County Squad. Keep us posted.
