Admittedly i do disagree with numerous bits, and i can see why they tried upping the prices due to the new rule changes etc..... They need to maximise incomes, and i can see why they have done what they have done. Yet i do agree with parts of the letter, however i agree, i don't think someone with no mandate should speak for the majority of us surely?

WRONG. They represent themselves and a small percentage of fans.
I've no problem with them existing.
Over the years, other fans have changed far more things for the better despite the OSC rather than because of them, but my main issue is that they should make it clear that they have NO mandate to speak on behalf of the majority of fans and that letter and comments on their web pages confirm this.
Am curious as to who actually does speak for you, and when they are let out of their padded cell?
Other supporters group can and do exist and have achieved far more over the years than the OSC. What can't exist are two OFFICIAL supporters groups. What the OSC and the Club should ponder is why by far the majority of fans want nothing at all to do with the OSC.
I have absolutely zero problem with the OSC existing, I'll say again as you seem to be making wrong assumptions, my issue is pointing out that they are nothing to do with the majority of Hull City fans. As for the work they do, if they bothered to canvas other fans, they may just find out why they're representing a minority. Addressing that will bring people on board who can reduce their work load and improve efficiency. As it is, they're wasting effort on the wrong tasks.

I don't think that as Dutch says, Tony Conway has just made that bit up because its his own opinion. He will have heard that from somewhere and simply relayed it, whether he agrees with it or not. Having seen the (albeit inevitble) reaction to this thread. I did remind the people I know at the OSC that a lot of people really didn't like the stands thing and it didn't go down well.
The thing is though, there is a **** load of stuff in there that's so much more important than arguing over a ruddy song.
It's not saying people aren't coming because they don't play the song, but that certain supporters don't enjoy the game as much. For some people that will be right, I know my Dad used to like Wise men sing and the stands stuff, but I hated it. All personal opinions ateotd.
Apart from those two points though the rest of the letter has some really good points I thought.
I tend to demonstrate my support for The Tigers by going to matches as often as possible and telling others about my team. However the OSC members apparently demonstrate their support to people they meet by showing them the very attractive membership card and are lost without one.
Yes, songs are so important. They've lost thousands of fans who never came back after they stopped playing Tiger Rag as even if City won 6-0 would not have enjoyed it as much without their favourite music.

I actually have heard some supporters say they miss the Elvis song. I agree with some of the points the letter makes and I do believe that there will be some of their members who do genuinely miss the introductions and everything. I know I am setting myself up for a battering on here but although I am enjoying the football (even though we lost the last 3) I just feel a bit detached from the team. I know a stupid thing like hearing Tiger Tiger before the team comes out should not make any difference but I think it does cos it is something that was just about our team and with so many new faces in the team I have just lost that connection somehow. Hard to explain but there it is. One supporter said to me it is like after getting rid of Barmby the Allams have decided to rid themselves of anything traditional surrounding the club and let us know that it is their club, they paid for it and they will do things as they want and to hell with the fans, we just pay to watch and should not have any further involvement. I doubt many people on here will agree with me though. Some people reading this thread might agree but they will not put anything because anyone saying anything negative about the Allams are generally shot down in flames for being ungrateful etc.
I think it shows how much people care about that song that they had to start playing the ****ing thing at kick-off just to get people to sing it.

- The loss of Tiger Leisure discount for OSC members and season ticket holders;
- The increase in qualifying age for senior citizen status;
- The lack of a Pearson/Pratt style public face;
- The increased cost of food and drink in the ground, which were already appalling value;
- I'm not a member of Away Direct, bit I fully agree that those who are should have their loyalty rewarded with the best seats;
- The website needs changing. NOW.

Yes we occasionally sang wise men say only fools rush in but it was never our song, it was sung by loads of clubs and to start playing it at kick off was a huge embarrassment and just added fuel to away supporters to take the piss, an own goal and such a relief to ditch it.
The introduction of the stands has been a feature longer and maybe was acceptable in the first few seasons at the KC as visiting fans paid their first visits to our new stadium, however as we marched up the leagues it soon became obvious it was cringeworthy small town/lower league nonsense and to do it in the prem in front of supporters from the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd who visit the best stadiums in Europe, and intoduce them to the MKM South Stand was tremendously embarrassing.
At last these cringing pre-match gaffs have been binned and anyone in the supporters club who thinks they speak for City fans by saying they are missed must be off their heads.
