Alright then, how could he have handled it differently? Had he submitted a transfer request, would that have been handling it better? Shaw has has all the advantages of a great Academy and has got a lucrative move aged 18, first opportunity. Adam has been offered the chance of Champions League footy and such is the pace of his progress he found himself signing a contract and accepting the Captains armband at the beginning of a season and then has to go through an awards evening when it is already clear to him that his future lies elsewhere. What is he supposed to do? Thanks for the awards but just so you know, I am off to Liverpool shortly? It's all happened so quickly and if he had left at the end of next season people would be a little less excitable. I thank him for staying when we were bust and hate to see him go but wish him well. He will never bad mouth Saints. Hopefully we will learn to accept his decision and move on.
I'm not sure about all your post to be honest. The Shaw bit has thrown me... Adam had a very good academy benefit too. Are you saying that it is the big opportunity that has arrived for him now and so he has to take it? Genuinely not quite grasped your message; sorry.
If it helps with the pain most of us feel you've taken us to the cleaners with this deal. #disappointed
Why are we relatively sanguine about Rickie moving to the same club as Adam? It's a valid question as nobody saw SRL moving from Saints at the end of the season so it was a shock. We accepted it because it was his home team, and he only had a couple of years left, despite the fact that Rickie has been so fulsome in his praise of SFC and most of us imagined him seeing out his years here. What is different in Adam's case? The main similarity is that in both cases the moves for them were unexpected (at the seasons start) but the difference is that because Adam is our Captain he is expected to do a Le Tiss and stay. In terms of Shaw, we only have the reports that he wanted a move, so how is that different to Adam? It seems that the board were happy to sell Shaw but more reluctant to sell Lallana. In what way does that make him less loyal?

Adam will be found out next season. Last season was his "peak" in a Saints shirt. He won't fit in at Liverpool, their system won't work to his advantage, he won't get enough game time, it won't work out. At least he'll earn a few extra bob though. **** off Adam, I had your number when I saw those FCUK photos, stupid bearded prick.
I hope he's bloody awful for Liverpool and they sell him back to us for £1.5m with his tail firmly between his legs.

He won't be good enough for us by then. We will have moved on
Nah, he's got QPR on loan 2016 written all over him.
