My Highlights programme is called 'ROARRR' & LCFC are usually on last for about 15 seconds, apart from when we played Manc Poo & Man City that is.
Right that's it, my patience has finally run out. Hull get a player sent off and Pearson doesn't put an another striker on until the 84th minute!!!! I've tried to defend Pearson all season, but now I've had enough. Why did we start with 5 at the back against a team we need to beat and at home?? With Villa winning we're finally doomed, regardless of the Burnley score.
Interesting that a lot of people asked for the team that played today, and are now criticising the team selection! I think we have one last chance. We must beat Sunderland away, who by all accounts were dreadful today. In fact, we have to beat ALL three of the teams above us. Two away from home. it's looking grim, but it's not quite over.
That's it, for me, I'm afraid. This was our last roll of the dice, we simply HAD to win today to be in with a chance of staying up. We were even given a golden ticket when Huddlestone got sent off, but we still couldn't muster the goal we needed. Disappointing, but I think we should keep Pearson, he's probably the best person out there at the moment to get us up next season. Don't really care who will be joining us. Sunderland, Hull, Burnley and QPR are all just as likely to go down. Meh!
Sorry but just can't see the point of keeping NP, he has proved that he his inept! needed to win today and to be honest I could have played in goal for Hull today and it would have been same score! we just have no idea. sorry but I think we need a new broom approach! lost my faith in NP with his selections
Today we didn't really we just lack the quality to make the killer pass or get a decent shot off I thought Cambiasso ran the midfield and was superb again but apart from that no one really stood out. Vardy had the beating of McShane all day and we didn't make nowhere near enough out of that as we should have. Great save from Schwarzer at the end when Hernandez should have scored All the knobs at the back of the kop was a disgrace, booing Morgan, calling Pearson a ****er and calling for him to get sacked and everytime we had a corner chanting we never score from a corner. Just what we needed today
... my view, for what it is worth, stems back to the disastrous run we had in the Championship .... Nigel is a capable manager ... he can build a good side in the Championship ... he can get you promoted ... that's the positive ... the negative is that whenever he comes up against Premiership management he seems to be found wanting ... Gangsta has a good point ... the line up wasn't that far away from what many of us wanted ... BUT ... when we were not creating enough AT HOME in a game we HAD TO WIN ... why the hell didn't he at least switch it to a more attacking formation far sooner? ... Martin O'Neil would have IMHO ... and that is why we are probably going down ....
When Huddlestone went I would have taken off one of the centre halfs for Drinkwater and tried to overrun their midfield. Drinkwater will create chances for us while James won't
We have two really good finishers - Ulloa and Kramaric - given our predicament and the number of home games we have I really can't understand not having both in the team for the full 90 minutes in EVERY home game ... simple maths - MUST SCORE MORE THAN THE OPPOSITION ... so play your fookin goalscoers!!!!!!!
I sit at the back of the kop, I didn't boo but how can anybody applaud that performance? Pearsons negativity has put us down, we're down without even a whimper!
Ah ah! He doesn't take any prisoners does he? Shows passion to me; he's not a media suck-ups like Dyche or Sherwood. And some people call him boring!
Well, he is still learning at this level - which is obviously no consolation to the fans worrying about relegation. I tend to have more of a long term outlook - hence I tend to be a bit more optimistic than most - and I believe the club still has a positive future in that regard, even if it takes us a couple of attempts to settle in the Prem (like it did in the mid-90s). Both Pearson and Leicester City are having to learn (or relearn in the clubs case) what is truly required in the top flight. If we were miles away, I'd be worried and want Pearson out - but we're not. I think Pearson's hesitance over switching to, say, 4-3-3 was because a defeat today would have been curtains. We went to 4-4-2 pretty quickly after they went down to ten, then 3-4-3 in the last ten minutes - a very daring formation considering Schulpp was part of the defence! Personally, I would have liked to have seen Nugent introduced earlier (certainly before Lawrence, although he did show some talent); it felt like a Championship game today, as we saw last season, Nugent thrives in that style of play. He created a good few opportunities when he did come on, but didn't get the time. I was very disappointed with Kramaric today - he knows how to make space for himself but his finishing was woeful. We needed a big performance from him today and it didn't happen. Ulloa seems to be out of form which probably explains why we've not seen much of his lately, while Vardy was a real threat with his pace. I was impressed with Morgan today. He was very mobile and attacked the ball well - he even got forward a fair bit. But having earlier said this felt like a Championship game probably says it all. A quick word on Hull - I wasn't overly impressed, although they are capable of quality delivery from wide positions. Michael Dawson is a rock too. As for N'Doye - he doesn't like away days does he? It was a poor result for both of us - we're still below the 20 point mark and they have mostly top half teams between now and the end of the season. With Burnley capable of getting points off the top teams and Villa rising up the table, it could be between Hull and Sunderland to join us and QPR in the second tier next season.
I wish more managers took that approach. That journo knows **** all. We're proud (however weird it is to say that, considering it should be the norm) that we don't surround referees. To try and suggest we are, having seen 3 games, means he deserves to be called more than that.
