Ramirez for me is more of an AM than a striker, and he's probably our best available option in that position until Diame makes a full recovery, for me he should have been on the pitch much earlier yesterday, at the expense of either Livermore or Meyler, and on yesterday's performances preferably the former.
Bruce talked about defending with 5 centre-forwards yesterday. Presumably these were N'Doye, Jelavic, Hernandez, Aluko and Ramirez. Perhaps one of the others is who he meant. Brady? Huddlestone?
Yeah but let's be fair, that literally means **** all because Brucey still believes that Aluko is a centre forward, so he amusingly thinks Ramirez is too. Both Aluko and Ramirez, especially the latter, are effective AM's, and in no way, shape or form are centre forwards. Hopefully Phelan has put him right on this.
Aluko is a winger. We should play with wingers next season. We should tell bruce to F off in the summer. I think he's going to walk of his own accord anyway thank god. Get someone in who knows how to get the lads playing some real football. I think we can challenge for Europa spots.
