Also can someone take the job of free kick taking around the opposition penalty box off him please.

Huddlestone shouldn't be allowed to shoot in open play either. The commentator yesterday said something like, "Huddlestone's got a good shot in him." No he bloody hasn't. In theory yes, in practice no.

Hey, remember when I said Odubajo isn't a right-back and should play right-wing?

Robertson seems to be the blue eyed boy with a lot of people on here.
The truth is he's too lightweight and green defensively and the close-range volley he blasted at McGregor yesterday was embarrassing.

Given a chance to impress yesterday was he? For all of ten minutes at best, sure there's plenty of time to show what he can do while the game was stopped to change the referee. Seems like a fair chance, you're right.

He hasn't featured much because he's down the pecking order, but it doesn't mean he's just lost all of his ability; as I said, it's up to him to force his way back into the starting line up which I'm sure he's capable of doing. I'm not going to base my opinion of him on our last Championship campaign as that was 3 years ago, but equally I'm not going to jump to conclusions based off the back of a handful of minutes in the dying embers of a game.
He may have only had a few minutes yesterday but he was hardly a game changer, other than the fact that he almost created an assist for Wednesday! He's had plenty of chances, plenty of starts, the abiding memories are of him running into players and losing possession, it's what he does.

You didn't answer my question, when was his last good game?

Elmo Dawson Davies Dave
Meyler Diame Livermore Maloney
Akpom Hernandez

Play Elmo through his bad patch. Let Dave settle at LB he's doing ok.
Meyler in to inject some fire into the team, Wednesday were al over us we didnt like it. Plus he'll have the legs to cover Diame's charges forward. Same with Jake for Maloney.
Akpom and Abel arent an ideal for me. Lets hope Diomande is a battering ram/hold up player that we so desperately need.

Probably against Palace away.

It's hard to change a game when it's stopped to change the ref.

Enough of this square pegs in round holes nonsense, it's time to get players in their natural positions and get some more attacking intent in the team, particularly at home against a team we should beating.

Either 3-5-2 to cover for our full backs frailties and still get two strikers on...

-----------McGregor
----Dawson Bruce Davies
Elmo------------------Robertson
---Livermore Diame Maloney
--------Akpom Hernandez

Or just go with a more straight forward 4-4-2...

-----------McGregor
Odubajo Dawson Davies Robertson
Elmo Livermore Diame Maloney
--------Akpom Hernandez

Huddlestone or Clucas could switch with any of the midfield options, there's also a couple of options for the wing back selections, though the LB/LWB position remains problematic.
The first team you put up will do the job but whats the odds its Livermore Diame and Huddlestone again

I shouldn't have chucked Livermore in with the other two as he should be in on merit, it's just that he hasn't got that much pace either

Doesn't matter what 11 players you pick if you don't bust a gut to attack attack attack.
With that possession yesterday we should have come away with 3 points.
2 points dropped IMO.
I've given up on seeing incisive attacking or quick one touch triangles of passing being played, except between the midfield and centre backs, whilst Bruce is in charge. We play a dull predictable game, yet we have the players to play and move much quicker, it's just frustrating.

We have no devine right to beat anyone in this division but.......we have the best quality of individuals in the league IMO.
I am being optimistic that for the next 2 games at home our players and our manager bust a gut to entertain our fans.
I have tickets for both matches and expect 2 wins, a few goals and to off my seat a few times.<cheers>

Predictable response. My Mrs probably knows more about football than you. She knows **** all!

and if you haven't seen anyone play better in a central role in a back three then you know less than your Mrs - there's a reason why we aren't losing matches this season, Junior isn't getting picked despite your insistence last year that he was the best centre back outside the top six - how many enquiries did we get for him -- none - I bet you £50 no-one would want him in the transfer window and you never took me up on it - good choice cos I was right
