Think bruce needs to setup without worrying about other teams as much as he did in the prem, far too cautious like alot of said on paper we have a pretty formidable championship squad that is the envy of most in this league so why do we seem to set up to contain the opposition?

Maybe the shackles need releasing and instead of clucas whos workmanlike we need aluko on whos far more creative and off the cuff, ive said it plenty huddlestone slows us down far too much and offers very little yes he can pass but too many of those passes are made far too slow and take the momentum out of any potential quick break lost count of the times we passed the ball behind our own player i stead of into his path it allowed sheff weds to get back time and time again

Bit of attacking adventure brucey lets go for it

.........................mcgregor
............dawson....bruce......davies
Elmo.............livermore............robertson
...........aluko...................maloney
.........hernandez........akpom.........

Diame needs a rest, very attacking lineup for home games , snodgrass to come in, diame/snodgrass for aluko/maloney depending on form

I think to be a winger you have to create. Whether that's through pace, trickery or just excellent crossing like Elmo. Clucas doesn't have any particular stand out skill going forward so he's a waste of an attacking space on the wing. I'd like to see Aluko play that role. It's ideal for Snodgrass once he's fit too.
I agree totally with you about Snodgrass - I just wonder when he will be fit enough. Diame has played several games now since his injury & still looks well off the pace (or disinterested). As for Clucas, he is exactly the sort of player you need to be successful in the Championship. He's a bit like Quinn - out of his depth in the Premier league, but just what every team needs at this level. For that reason I would play him more often than not.

we could be here till midnight coming up with what we (the diehard fans) think is the best team to beat Ipswich, but unfortunately we don't pick the team. Steve Bruce does. & he will continue to baffle us every week with his team selections & by playing people out of position & scraping 1-1 draws against teams we should have easily put 2 or 3 goals past & taken 3 points.

Another good reason to drop Huddlestone, is the fact that there's a reasonable chance he'll be gone in January and we'll have to play the second half of the season without him anyway.

Who gave you time off? For many of us midnight's an early finish.
