Nice to wake up to the confirmation of A A signing.

What a mental 24 hours that was, but as I said Thursday all we could do was wait till the window closed before judging and I'm glad i held fire.

Still can't believe we got £10 million for Stewart with the injury and contract situation.

Next u21 game might be worth going along to if these new lads are playing
If it's a home game they should move it to the SoL and make a bit of a song and dance about it if a few of these lads are going to be playing.

When is Evans due back? He wasn't on the same timescales as Stewart and going to play in the behind closed doors game was he? Last I saw December was mentioned.

"in the New Year" was the last comment from Mogga. Albeit Evans is out on the grass training (not with the team)

Surely we have options to overcome any issues.

Triantis, Hume or 09 could do a job on a part-time basis as a holding midfielder, we could go to 3 at the back or even 3241 in a City style formation.

I think it's a potential problem area depending on injuries (that haven't happened yet) but we've got Neil, Ekwah, O'Nien, Jobe and Rigg who can all play there so there's no need to worry imo.

If Neil or Ekwah get injured and Seelt is ready then O'Nien moves up the pitch and doubtless surprises a few people with how well he does. If Seelt isn't ready then Jobe plays there and probably does fine.

Morning.

Glad the other 2 got confirmed. Shame we couldn't get the CM we needed. We are very light there.

Yep I'd agree, even Neil is relatively new to the role and Ekwah relatively new to first team football.

But I suppose they knew who they wanted and couldn't get him. Not sure how long Evans will be out for , maybe they are hoping it's sooner rather than later.

But most boxes ticked I'd say, not that I know much about any of them! Bit by bit and all that...

Yep, those you mention can all play there, but it is a pretty specialised position. We'll see.

Chaos over now though, back onto what we do best, go and shout like nutters for an hour and a half!

I think Jobe can be added to that. He’s an 8, not a 10 in my book.

Now we have Dack, and two new forwards, Jobe is 'available'. There's also Hume who I keep seeing as a DM although Tony hasn't shown any signs of agreeing so far ... then there's Huggins, Rigg and Alese!

I can't remember the last time we had genuine competition in vital areas.

Whatever the case we only have a few months to work out what's what before the next window ...

... I have faith that work starts now.

Quite a few of our rivals have lost key players and been left unbalanced. Norwich supporters have the pitchforks out over the Batth signing for example.

It's time to forget all about playing football manager and get on with disagreeing with Mowbray's team selections, tactics and substitutions <laugh>

Think we (mainly me) need to ready ourselves for the potential loss of Neil, Clarke, and Roberts in January.

Aravena, Amad, and a DM will do once the window reopens if we lose those 3.

We won't lose them, if we are in the top 6 mate...they want Prem football, and better wages, which we may be able to accomodate with them on board.

Seemed like you were saying it's not a good league and so implying the players from there would struggle.
Obviously misunderstood if that wasn't what you meant.

Aye I think so mate. Wasn’t questioning that many of the best in the world have come from that league.

I’d also had a few so may not have had as much clarity as I’d like. All good mate.
