We’ve been signing young lads on long contracts. Makes sense for maximum resale. Risk if they get knackered I suppose.

Oh I know, but I can't quite believe we've convinced this player to do so. Top player, already made his champion league debut for paris. Injured most of last season but still a massive coup for us imo

Maybe just like Hemir and Mayenda where it will take some time to get up to speed. Huge difference between French Ligue
There's a gulf but what we've been lacking for years is power and pace. Most of our signings this window seem to address that finally

Naaa just as per Hemir I think, they don’t come physically ready for the league.

Ligue 1 is a hugely physical league! Both these lads have a number of appearances at that level.

Ligue 1 is a tier up from the Championship, this is nowt like Hemir.

It’s a slower league, without doubt. They were also a few weeks behind us kicking off.

Ligue 1 isn’t a tier up from Championship. Maybe the top 5 or 6.

Leicester would finish in a CL spot in that league I’d imagine.

You’ve got PSG then an improved Marseille, then very little, Rennes, Nice and Lyon have a few players but never a full team, then you get some stand out bits of talent.

I’d fancy us to to beat at least 12 of the league, and Leicester 17
