People who kept saying we'd be relegated from the PL always claimed they were realists ...

... the reality was that we'd keep avoiding relegation.

When we eventually went down they were all claiming they'd been right all along <laugh>

They chant “I’m a realist” at their negative twat club meetings.

100% this, played more games upfront than on the wing i believe

Really like the look of this lad, id go as far as saying hes my 2nd favourite signing weve made since getting back to the Championship - my fave was ballard who ive always been a huge fan of
I love Ballard he’s nails and just loves getting stuck in.

Looking like he has signed. Thank **** for that. Am I right in thinking he is more of a forward to play alongside Stewart than a like for like replacement?

It's about equal for last season ...

... the difference is that Sunderland need a striker and already have wide players.

Rusyn will be wanting to get stuck in and score before Stewart is fully fit. If he plays alongside Stewart that's possibly Clarke or Roberts going or makes it difficult to include Jobe and Dack at home.

Sod it, you sort it out Mowbray <laugh>

Can't see another striker coming in, Rusyn, Stewart, Hemir and Mayenda for the 1 striker position we play, even if we went 2 up top, we have cover

Yeah that would be it surely. It'll be interesting to see what we do, you'd think we'd stick with one up top but then again we played Simms and Stewart when they were the only CF at the club so who knows.

Wasn’t it 2 up top under Neil before Mowbray came in? Can’t remember exactly but I’m sure Stewart got injured about a week after TM joined!

Great window for us once Rusyn is through the door. Only thing that would perfect it for me is a natural CB and CDM through the door who’ve both played a fair bit of football at this level and can lead on the pitch. Hopefully we can get at least one of those sorted via a loan.

I thought we played two up top with Mowbray but you're probably right I don't have a great memory for these things.

Just an experienced CM for me now, I think we're ok in defence.

If we are looking to move players on, is it a huge stretch to think of it like this?

Batth - Seelt and Triantis
Gooch - Rusyn (can play wing as can Gooch, plus Huggins hopefully fit
Pritchard - premier league loan (Amad)

you are presuming Hemir and Stewart are going to come, In Hemirs case good and a full recovery in Stewarts. I wish I had your faith.
