As with everything it's open to interpretation depending on personal viewpoint on players.

For me it shows all 3 were crucial to our success last season, be that in ball carries, chance creation or shots. It also shows how Clarke did more than his fair share of defence work as well.

It's quite interesting when you dig into it, especially after games to see what the stats say compared to what your eyes saw
Toggle it to the per 90 stats Chunk, ot reads a bit differently :)

He is innocent until proven otherwise in a Court of Law.. The Club will have suspended him, I would expect without pay, until he reaches Court.. A Guilty verdict would be the club following procedures, a not guilty and his wages would be restored and he be brought back into the fold would seem the obvious course.

Thanks, that's the answer I was looking for.

Nevertheless, the club still have to consider holding off on a signing because they may have to give Diamond his job back ... who knows.

To say I was accused of wumming, etc, there's been quite a few happy to comment but that's my last word so the subject will die.

Your comment is spot on pal but that last paragraph hit the nail on the head. Obviously just my uneducated guess because I’m not a lawyer but the police have probably already looked at the evidence and deemed it suffice to not only charge him but go through court which means they likely have a case against him. Confiscating phones etc happens well before it gets to this stage.

They will also have handed evidence to the CPS who need to be convinced there is enough that a likely guilty verdict can be obtained at a trail, without that the police cannot proceed

Hard to compare Roberts and Clarke because they’re so different, as mentioned one is direct whilst the other isn’t as quick but is more technical.

Thing with Roberts is that he ALWAYS has at least 2 men marking him and this season so far we aren’t using that to our advantage. I can’t remember seeing a full back mark him out of the game. Clarke does has off games where he’s stifled by the opposition RB.
Def cant compare the 2.

My issue at times is his decision making is poor. He often runs into crowded areas rather than playing give n goes more. He needs to learn when to move it quick n when to take on his man. Hes definitely getting better on this area but if he does improve he will start to score n set up more goals as the lad has unreal talent

Agree with that, seems to run to the touch line far too often when cutting inside earlier or playing the pass seems the easier option. Roberts with Clarke’s pace would be scary!

It was obvious to me as I've had similar to deal with, in my previous incarnation, came to the same conclusion as you probably sussed. Employment law is a minefield but mostly based on Common sense really..

He did, but that's still a huge difference in carries. Although it interesting that Roberts isn't far behind Clarke in shots taken, which most would suggest he is the more "shot shy" of the 2

For me Roberts is the better player over Clarke he seems to have that bit of magic that Clarke doesn't. The stats however point to Clarke being the more effective but for me solely watching them on a Saturday I'd pick Roberts over Clarke. It's a good point that Roberts is often doubled up on which is probably why Amad spent so much time over on the right with him. They are both much more effective cutting inside so it's important that our full backs overlap on the outside something Cirkin is better at than Hume who is often inverted as an extra Centre midfielder. One thing I think they both lack and it was obvious last Saturday is they both hug the touch line and don't ever seem to make the out to in run for a ball slid through or played over the top. I say it was obvious last week as first half especially we had no one playing up top and no one ever seemed to get close to a centre forward position.

Basically there both very good championship wingers but I'd like to see a few more goals from Roberts and I think he's got it in his locker.

It’s all a bit moot anyway as it won’t really be up to us who we sell first. Both will have a value attached to them and if a club offers it, they’d be sold. As is the way at every club.

that value will likely go up towards end of window as we don’t want to lose them. Which is why it’s also hard to bring players in towards end of window
