I’d prefer respect unity and stability. I think very little of how Neil acted but the same thing a second year on isn’t good practice,if he's that unhappy and flat let him walk, he's not daft mowbray he's playing right to the fans, did the same at blackburn in his last year aswell,
My opinion on this is that it is just a rehash of old stories to fill column inches.Wow so three stories this morning on potential outgoings
- Roberts to Celtic (Nixon)
- Clarke to Burnley if they bid £15m (Wayne Veysey - Football Insider)
- Mowbray still being considered to be replaced (Wayne Veysey - FI)

This is why people will always take your comments about speakman with a pinch of salt mate. You were/are close to SD and he might be a cracking bloke (ive never met the guy so cant comment on that) but the job speakman has done compared to him is amazing. I remember them saying the pi$$ take party had ended when they came in but it really hadn't, it ended when KLD appointed Speakman1st off it was SD who I was closest to, we did loads together from 2001, he introduced me to Charlie at the German fiasco period.
CM never ran the club, he just did what the accountants and SD told him to do.
Media apart.
The practice that saw Alex Neil ‘so unhappy’ was putting together a squad that saw us finish in the playoffs playing some of the best football we’ve seen in decades. It was sad to see Mowbray looking so flat after the game Saturday mind. There was a lot more positivity last season. He’s clearly an emotional bloke but it’s not good practice by the club to make a manager so unhappy and worrying that it’s the second in two seasons. However sharp the plan is an unhappy key employee is not a good outcome.
You have to admit the noises are scarily similar to just before Neil left though. The practice that saw Alex Neil ‘so unhappy’ was putting together a squad that saw us finish in the playoffs playing some of the best football we’ve seen in decades.
Think I posted this elsewhere, but it's my opinion that Mowbray was only ever a stop-gap appointment - a safe pair of hands to steady the tiller and keep us up after the bald snake jumped ship. What happened next took everyone by surprise - the football we played, the results we got and how Mowbray did in the face of such adversity. Looks like the club did speak to a couple of coaches, but come the end of the season, there would have been uproar had we sacked Mowbray.Bob seems to be hinting that the club want tired rid of Mowbray but are waiting for a chance to get rid without upsetting the fans? Surely that's risky as it might never happen he could go on a 10 match winning streak and be safe as houses.
If they want rid then they should have done it end of last season?
But like another poster has said I take this with a pinch of salt, Bob might know plenty at the club but I can't see them exactly telling anyone who will listen if they unsure about TM?
He like Alex Neil has been MANAGER not Head Coach and has become used to total control , after having overall power for many years it must be difficult to adapt to relinquishing control . Speakman and Mowbray need to be on the same wavelength if the club is to progress at the rate we have , I think the signing of Bradley Dack showed that Speakman is willing to listen and compromise if their is a good deal for the club , Mowbray has to accept that ultimately Speakman needs to rubber stamp any deal for the benefit of the club .if he's that unhappy and flat let him walk, he's not daft mowbray he's playing right to the fans, did the same at blackburn in his last year aswell,
I can’t stand Neil mate but you have to get the people bit rightThe practice that saw Alex Neil ‘so unhappy’ was putting together a squad that saw us finish in the playoffs playing some of the best football we’ve seen in decades.

I think he will unless it's his own choice, I think he's got enough in the bank from last season to see him ok for a while yet, and we could really do without the turmoil while bedding new young players in.Still covering the cracks tho, WILL TONY MOBRAY BE HERE BY MID SEPT ?
Your asking Bob for a straight answer? G.ood luck with that one.So what’s your craic then Bob rather than beat about the bush let’s have it as it is

To be fair, most knew there was something wrong before we got to Luton Town for the second leg of the play offs with the stories in the press about changing the coach, the lack of defenders but more even before that going back to the January transfer window when no forwards were recruited. All through the summer break there were undertones of things not being right. It doesn't take a genius to see things are not right. Its how quickly these "problems" are addressed. With respect. @Bob the Mackem makes an interesting point. By all accounts things are not well and everyone is not signing from the same sheet. Tensions are high behind the scenes.
Needs addressing quickly IMO. I think Tone has already shown some cracks. More raging on the sidelines and his interviews are really on the low side. Even after Rotherham he was talking as if we got beat.
