We need to remember that we do tend to do a lot of late business in the transfer window. It was August 31st last season when we unveiled Amad, Ba, Bennette, and Michut at the stadium.

I know it's looking pretty bleak at the minute, but Speakman has done enough to earn out trust. Let hope he'll pull something out of the bag with 2 weeks to go.

Wed heard about them all at this point though I believe..

Or, in some cases, the storm before the signings.
I really wish the window was closed and we'd done all our business as its becoming very RTG esq on this thread at the moment, how do people know we havnt already agreed a permanent deal and a loan but the parent clubs are waiting for the replacements to arrive, some of the comments about the club when basically no one knows jack **** about what is going on other than we havnt signed the player they want yet, also I've mentioned a few timed only the club will know the situation with Stewart, that will have a massive affect on who we bring in.
I'm hearing so many comments about how the recruitment team failed so badly by not bringing a striker in, in January however we were still so close to the Premier league which was miles ahead of where any of us predicted we would finish, yes I think we desperately need another striker in but the window is still open so I'm more than happy to let the club take as long as they need to bring the right people in

I'd rather we waited for Amad, or equivalent, until the last few seconds ...

... than bring in a lightweight to placate the supporters.

Just to play devils advocate here, is £1m for a player that walks into most teams in the championship really THAT expensive?

Covers for Stewart until he’s back and solves all of our issues in the striker department, club can move forward. 3 different options up top all possessing different attributes. No more pissfarting about. If Stewart leaves then we have suitable cover and some wiggle room to get another in without stressing too much.
Is he that good like has he been ripping the league’s up ? Not so sure meself
