Hope so mate. Captains armband a strange one.
Sending a message to Batth maybe? Not sure who else takes it from that starting line up on Sunday like. I see Hume or Ballard in the longer term, but in the absence of Evans and Gooch, O9 was the obvious candidate

Yeh Ballard should be captain for me. He's at that perfect age where he represents what the club are trying to do. Experienced. Vocal. Signed a long term deal. First name on team sheet.

Just catching up on here, you would think Donald & Charlie were back the way some people are panicking.
We need some perspective here, forget the cup game its irrelevant in the grand scheme of things we were never going to win it and going out early is a blessing looking at the season long term. Ipswich got battered of us from start to finish and with a striker we would have won that game easily, everyone knows we need a striker and lets be honest looking at our early business it was obvious we were going to lose a centre half and probably an attacking midfielder. Seelt, Triantis are Bath & Baileys replacements, Dack is Pritchards replacement Huggins is like a new signing so we can let Gooch go. Rigg has been promoted to 1st team squad and Jobe is there now to probably share that role with him.
We will be ok, Mowbray is playing the game, he knows he is short and is too long in the tooth to sit and say nothing.
We will be fine come the end of the window, and for the record I think Amad will be back...

Honestly depends on what you see (or the club see) the role of captain to be. If it's for the presence and leadership on the pitch then I agree a more traditional starting CB/CM choice is probably more appropriate. But if you want a captain who's role is more off the pitch with an emphasis on a role model and someone who will look out for the youngsters then it's hard to look past O'Nien.
