As were Amad, Ekwah...also don't recall anyone being impressed by Stewart after a game or two.
the only player we've lost from last season who's had a big impact into the run in of the playoff is amad,

now apparently we are well off, mid table at best and everything at the club is ****,

we don't need much, and come the end of september

we'll have players back from injury aswell

people keep look at are squad and saying it's **** but then forgetting we have 5 players out injured who will all probably be on the bench or starting , we don't need much at all

striker and a winger are the main two

sounds daft but saturday is already turning into a big game, just to get some feel good factor back

£20k per week appears to be our ceiling. You don't get many English players from the PL for that low a wage, hence why we are shopping abroad and for younger players.

Tbf wages above this in the Championship are the reason load of clubs are in real financial bother, problem comes it wont be 1 player on 20k+ several will want, couple wont work, your then stuck with a 3/4 year deal & needing to sign more players....who want more than the player who didnt work...it spirals, works at times & get promotion, doesnt come close or come very close like Derby then imploded as it failed

Its difficult & we need to get it right

Everyone is saying we still need an Amad replacement, surely that’s Dack?
An experienced, older replacement no less, we should all be delighted.

Doesn’t look like we’ll be getting Aravena after those quotes that he wants to stay at UC until at least the end of the year.

I think if we bring in an Aravena and Rusyn or players of that mould (two that can play anywhere across the front) then that covers us fairly well for the front three/four.
As long as one of the players we sign is a natural striker then ok, but we don't need any more of these "forwards" in the Dajaku, LiHadji, Bennette mould whom we are told are "able to play through the middle" until it becomes glaringly obvious that they can't.

As stated elsewhere, club needs to bite the bullet and pay the Cannon loan fee. The season changes at that point. I can see us struggling big time if it's more 18yo French players being asked to play like a 28yop with 150 championship goals under his belt.

Well, if there has been a falling out it needs to be resolved quickly. We can't be arsing about. If they want rid of Mowbray, then get rid, get your man in, and live or die by the decision. Waiting for things to sour in the stands is storing up trouble if we end up with another poisonous atmosphere and a bunch of young kids playing in it.

While I agree, we need someone isn’t cannon out for next three weeks with hamstring injury?

thing is if it's true only way it gets fixed now is mowbray goes, and before people jump on i'm not saying i want him to go but if the has been a falling out that's the only way it's fixed,
For me the problems started at the end of last season with the club Albeit ready to ditch Mowbray for a different coach. That scenario seems not to have been addressed since the end of May. Now three months later its coming to the fore again, with Mowbray going on (rightly so) like he did at the end of his time with Blackburn Rovers. One thing that needs to be addressed and quickly is the 2 x CF and DM positions and Mowbrays future.

It feels inevitable that he'll go.

"Mutual agreement" or something
Then Speakman and KLD will get their preferred "young foreign coach" appointment, which will invariably go wrong and we'll bring in a fire fighter to keep us up. Rinse and repeat

Does anyone get the feeling that Mowbray was only ever supposed to be a stop gap, but his success has put Speakman on the back foot? Had we got rid in the summer there would have been uproar and now they are waiting to fall on his own sword?

It’s catch-22, unlikely anyone will sign him while he is injured and contract is in limbo it seems so we can’t replace him.

It’s getting to the point where the club need a definite answer from the lad so we can go out and get a replacement now, then hopefully sell him in January if he has no intention of staying.

It’s bloody frustrating for the fans and I’m guessing for the club too.
His contract runs to June next year. He can sign for whoever he wants to in January without and transfer fees mate or amerringue!
