what crosses, ? when we had a striker on we didn't put one into the box, all are corners where over hit or didn't beat the first man

i totally agree we need another striker but yesterday, even the best striker in world would of been hating his life in are team yesterday,
Maybe, with Stewart in the team Clarke, Roberts, Cirkin and Hume have more confidence that their crosses would be met. It felt like we were playing with no striker yesterday and Roberts/Clarke etc didn't want to cross the ball

It's all ifs, buts and maybes but I honestly believe that it's a different game with Stewart on the pitch - and I don't say that to slag Hemir, he just doesn't look ready. FWIW I'd play him tomorrow and try and get some goals in his legs to breed some confidence

Sorry mate that's not accurate.

We had 66% possession, 11 corners, 149 attacks and 81 of those were deemed as dangerous attacks.

That's plenty to go off for a striker who knows his craft. The boy didn't work and didn't get into the right positions.

The former players thing is weird - it's like every time we play against one, they score - Connor Wickham's only goal for MK Dons was against us, Chris Maguire hat trick for Lincoln, Wyke's only goal last season? Against us. Broadhead scores, and nearly had a 2nd. Grabban for Villa, Sess for WBA Wickham for Palace - you just know Maja will score his first for WBA against us.

It probably happens to other teams, but it seems to happen every time to us :emoticon-0140-rofl:

I know....it's almost some kind of pre-ordained,devillish vengeance! :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Be interesting what team we put out

in preseason hemir scored every goal with his head, if that doesn't put confidence in are players to put the ball into the box for him to attack nothing will

how many of them corners were good though we had all the ball

but general apart from the last twenty can you name one clear cut chance we created

Pre-season is a whole different ball game. Everyone knows that. I've seen us have brilliant pre-seasons and start the real stuff slowly, and vice versa.
Mallorca are the only decent side we played in Pre season and we still conceded in nearly every game.

sorry like but you can't count the one open goal as a created chance, it was a shot from the edge of the box that the keeper parried, we created nothing for hemir not one ball into the box for him, and the only chance he did have he had to creat for him self
With Amad we overloaded the defenders packed around our wingers. We had one threat too many. We missed that yesterday.

I found the lack of work rate/desire a worry. He looks tidy on the ball, but doesn't seem to work hard to get the ball or get into position. Early days and I feel for him being asked to lead the line at the age of 19 in his first season as a pro. The club appear to have learned nothing from last season

We created a chance to shoot, the keeper saved it and parried it out to Jobe's feet. How is that not a chance we created? You're sticking to your narrative and ignoring all logic - I feel like I've stumbled on to RTG :emoticon-0140-rofl:

I get that but folk said just sign any striker and weve signed 2 this summer so we have 3 strikers on the books now. The club cant really win with some fans, its goes from just sign anyone, to no i we meant just sign any experience striker.

As long as we are stronger at the end of the window then the start of the window, thats the main thing not whether we have all players signed by game 1

We still have 45 to go
Did you not see the line of clubs standing outside the main entrance wanting to sell us their experienced strikers? It's dead easy this football game :emoticon-0105-wink:

Hard when you don't have someone who is a striker who can sniff out the space. Not going to get much when we have Danny Ballard up top mate.

Our own gaffer said so post match yday

We've been short of strikers since last summer. More than 12 months is surely enough time to fill the gaps in the squad. There is a great deal of bluff that comes out teh club as well. Do you recall Speakman trying to tell us all we didn't sign a another striker last season because they considered Dajaku as the 3rd striker?!? I mean that is beyond the ****ing pale

Not having a dig at anyone and I hope this is taken as intended. I'm crazy busy at work today and love using this thread to find out any gossip or news on transfers.

Has there been anything today or are the 10 pages just debrief on whats needed following yesterday?
