Think what the Lihadji deal shows is that when you sign a young player and they aren't as good as you hoped you can still sell them for good money
Matete injured until autumnGood to to Lihadji. It he was never interested/right for us. See ya
Who is next out the door?
Embo
Pritch
Matete
look forward to seeing another striker and c. midfielder.
Hopefully at least double that at least the way they have been splashing the cash . I think we are a different kettle of fish compared to recent years when it comes to bargaining ,he found it very difficult to break in to the side due to the form of Clarke and Roberts so we can only assume unfulfilled potential and a decent offer saw him leave .Hopefully get a couple of mil for him.
.Foreign loan has to include a buy option as well if I recall correctly
He's a stupid lad going to a club like Chelsea, Arsenal, Manure, City etc as we tend to recruit from that type of club now at a fraction of the hassle in training them...He must be good if he thinks he will break into the Chelsea team which I doubt very much. Its a want it now mentality but the money will have spoken too him and his family. Is this a
If there is a position most difficult to get your first team start it has to be gk. Don't get subbed during the match unless injured, get injured less often and there is only one spot available!
So going to Chelsea lowers that even more, out of all the clubs in the Premier league I think they the worst choice the lad could have made in terms of the chance of ever playing before they sell!
He's went for the Sun and sandybeach...supposed to be a canny one in QatarMichut adapted like you say.
He will have a very good career Michut. I’m sure Lihadj will make a few quid.
Tbf, it was us "did a Grigg" on us.........Clubs used to hold Sunderland to ransom and players had to be bribed to come here, then they'd not be motivated and just go through through the motions ... I'd absolutely hate to go back to those times.
We now have a wage structure that makes it easier to negotiate imo. If clubs know we won't go over a figure we've stated they won't try to do a 'Grigg' on us.
The trouble with making exceptions is that it quickly becomes the rule.
It's also easier to get into an academy set up as a goalie. Hardly any decent ones at a young age so he must stand outIs this a

me too, but if his replacement is an improvement then that means we are progressing. As the man said: no sentiment in football. We’ll soon forget him.I'd be sad to see Pritchard go personally, particularly now we have a centre forward for him to work around.
The money kids can get at 16 at these top.clubs is life changing. Agree - looked out of his depth whenever he came on.Not losing sleep over Lihadji going.
didn’t play much so obviously not seen as good enough
when he did play he looked talented but ineffective and not suited
he’s signed for a Qatari club - not a European one. I know going to Saudi is popular now but the fact he’s not going to a top league tells you plenty about the rest of Europe agreeing with us
All three a possibility but only Pritchard is actually fit.Good to to Lihadji. It he was never interested/right for us. See ya

Sounds like a decent fee for someone we weren’t necessarily that keen to keep. Incredibly positive sounds like we were surprised by the fee- would imagine up to 2m wouldn’t be that “ positive” unless we really wanted **** for other reasons so hopefully more than that.Sporting Director Kristjaan Speakman commented: “We thoroughly enjoyed having Isaac at Sunderland AFC, but we must be pragmatic in these scenarios and assess the opportunity in any transfer proposals that we receive. After considering all the factors, we believe this represents an incredibly positive deal for the Club and it’s a transfer that will also create immediate opportunities for us in the market. Isaac is a great kid, and we wish him well in his new adventure.”
