There is a very vocal minority who seem to hate the people running the club
I must admit I am guilty of falling into the trap of extrapolating those vocal few and thinking they speak for the fanbase (I’m an exile so I don’t have much else to go by).

Sometimes I need to remember to take a step back and realise it may only be a minority who happen to be very loud and very repetitive (spamming I think is the term).

Reading RTG (I know, I know), Twitter and several posters on here I would say so.

Loads bemoaning the model and wanting the whole thing ripped up and accusing the club of being tight. Fires which Mowbray stoked last night.
It’s not 1 or 0

I think the model is getting rightful criticism.

Yeah so do I, the way I look at it though i that those who are content aren’t really going to post about it

Is it? We haven’t kicked a ball this season. Last season we finished in the championship play offs. The season before that we were in league one. Think people need to calm down and see what the rest of the window brings.
I'd love to know what they'd like to see put in it's place. It'll no doubt be something similar to the Ellis Short era pumping endless stream of money into the club. Where did that get us?

As I keep saying, perhaps 'the Stewart situation' is already sorted and supporters are winding themselves up needlessly.
Also conflicting comments after some have claimed TM has been telling bernie slaven that he won't recover properly from his injury so we will cash in on him this summer

That's a load of bs. If he will never recover from this injury, then I'm pretty sure we won't be able to sell him. Medicals and all that. At least not this summer.

I know both KLD and KS, and personally i think they underestimate the strength of the championship for this season.
They by appointing the new marketing chap realise the whole running of the club is to big a job for SD, happy they saw that as another sign of his weakness as COO. chief operations officer. what a joke he is.

Iain your right, but for us to improve we need strength in depth, he do not have that.
We should have had the RS situation cleared up, by either selling him or give him a contract subject to his fitness level, we have done that before.
It just seems as if we are meandering in to this season half cocked.
How the hell are we supposed to sell an asset that hasn't played a meaningful game in 6 months, is still injured and has it all to prove when he does come back? Ha'way man, I know it's just your opinion but be realistic. As for his contract 'subject to fitness' it would appear he's been offered that and rejected it. He shoud be sacking his agent.

And if boro are interested as rumoured the last person he’d be telling is slaven :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Negativity already, the season hasnt even started yet!!!!

As ive mentioned before the benefit of signing young players is they should improve yr on yr (i know it doesn't always happen like that). So therefore the likes of hume cirkin ballard patto neil ekwah n clarke will be better this season than last.

Yes we need to add depth to the squad and the club know that just as much as us. Its not as simple as that though, PL sides arent loaning our their best young players just yet n teams normally drive a high price around this point. No point just signing players for the sake of it just for a better option to come available later in the window.

Folk saying the championship is tougher this yr, its like that every single season. Yes on paper it looks harder but 3 quality championship teams went up. Yes luton arent a big club but theyve got to the playoffs 2 seasons on the bounce so was no fluke them going up.

Still just under a month to go so still time to bring in those other positions we need

TM will make suggestions on the players he wants but if our data n recruitment team dont believe they arent worth signing then we shouldnt sign them. The only way we get long term success is through our recruitment n data teams
Stop talking sense man, we need some pitchfork action.....

I've not read anything from the limited comments available that stoked any fires.

As I said yesterday, if at the end of the window we are still short we can complain / ask questions imo

Good analogy. Continuing it on and based solely on my experience with my dear wife, perhaps he's going for the death by a thousand paper cuts approach and will eventually get his own way and replace every bit of the furniture with his own selection over the course of a few years :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Well never mind furniture... what about choosing paint colours, or if you're old fashioned wallpaper. Furniture, soft furnishings and decor colours.. to produce the best result. All a nightmare lots of arguments.

Perhaps it is something similar with Mowbray and Speakman? In deciding which players to bring in or to get of. Now who would be the female and male... Speakman seems to favour small wingers and Mowbray big strong lads. As for new contracts someone is insisting we stick to a budget.

Most people seem to be really looking forward to the season imo ...

... the 'agitated brigade' seem to be a tiny percentage of people on forums.

The main agitation seems to have been directed towards 'the Stewart situation situation' which Mowbray doesn't appear to believe is that much of a situation tbh.
I will freely admit I was disappointed we didn't get a striker in January, I saw and still do see it as an opportunity we missed.

But then you look at the injuries we suffered in the last few games and even a fit firing striker wouldn't have helped when we lost 8 (I think?) First teamers to injury.

I can only give the recruitment team the benefit of the doubt until the window closes, I don't believe they will leave us short again
