How many positions have not been upgraded from 12 months ago?
All young players have an additional year experience and at championship level.
Ballard got injured long term first game last year, shouldn’t happen again.
Hume wasn’t a starter a year ago, massive improvement and Huggins was injured.
Wright has been upgraded.
Onien has found his best position since last year imo.
Ekwah wasn’t here last year.
Jobe and dack are additions that haven’t replaced anyone so improve the squad.
Amad/ba/Bennette weren’t available first game last year, 2 of them now are.
Simms has been replaced (tbd whether an upgrade) and Stewart is still here.
Striker and CDM is needed for the squad but TM has confirmed these positions are being looked at. I’m very happy with things as it stands, good deals still happen after the season starts, let’s wait and see.

Not sure but I assume Harvey will have kept tabs on him. I think Mowbray gave him his debut. Just a thought anyway, haven't seen many central midfield names linked, they've all been the forward/wide players.
I have a feeling the Tom Cannon link is not dead yet Everton seem to be keen on a permanent move.

This. Absolutely ridiculous some folk going on, demanding to know whether he's staying or going, demanding to know why he hasn't signed a contract etc. Facts are, he's under contract here and he's just out injured.
Similar thing when the season ended, demanding a statement whether Mowbray is staying or going.
That's how the model is supposed to work. Keep upgrading
We seem good at sorting deals with a good sell on factor. Maybe that will tempt Everton who seem to be touting daft money

He seems in total harmony with the club and everyone seems to know what's needed ...
... however, which experienced striker would come here knowing Stewart will be playing soon.

Agreed - I feel like we’re pushing hard for this one, on a permanent basis. Developments with Preston seem to have slowed recently with us in the mix — an imminent sale on our side could facilitate a breakthrough, I think.
If Preston were going to sign him, which they need to, they've had every chance ...
... if that was us we'd be tearing down the walls.
My two main gripes about the team last year were strikers and our height.
i was sat in the Hartlepool end at our friendly and two of their fans behind me said “by they’ve got some big lads” I didn’t tell them our biggest wasn’t even playing !

According to reports today we are after another cm and obviously the striker.
I got a feeling both will be permanent signings as they will be used in rotation and not get the games a loan player / club would want.
