A tear hasn't been mentioned by anyone except you mate.
Strains are all tears. Partial to rupture depending on the severity.
The language used is important as is timescales.

The club need to get rid of these medical experts they have and listen to fans on an internet forum who clearly know better.
If it could keep Kirchhoff of all people fit it’s well worth the investmentGiven the amount of none contact injuries we get, I think the area should be reviewed and increased financial cost put back into the prehababilitation of physiotherapy. The BSA days were very good and I wouldn't mind getting back to that level
TM just talks a load of sense every time he's interviewed, how some have picked up that this injury is a serious 3 month recovery is beyond me.Mowbray said: "No. He did train with us but he did pick up a hamstring strain in training.
"He's here for five years and he looks powerful and strong and fast, yet he won't be ready for probably a few months now after picking up this strain. It doesn't matter because I don't sit here thinking 'look what we've got', he's a young boy, he's 18, he'll be ready when he is ready.
"It might be good for him actually to be around the building, with the lads, settling in, without the pressure of having to play football while he gets himself ready."
few more quotes from TM

Reading that, it reads to me that he's picked up an injury, but with settling in, getting up to speed with things etc it will be a few months.TM just talks a load of sense every time he's interviewed, how some have picked up that this injury is a serious 3 month recovery is beyond me.![]()

Should have been the first thing done when the season ended.
Whether the medical team are any good I have no idea, but I think you have said previously we don't have the set up technology wise anywhere near as advanced as under BSA (approaching a decade ago!).
They should have the best in place and **** the manager etc... and what they like, believe BSA set it up under him and Moyes changed it? Much like the recruitment team they should be always putting the best in place.
Under Allardyce the players were said to be constantly monitored and their training regime and minutes on matchday were specifically tailored for them to reduce the risk of injuries. Kirchoff stayed fit ffs!
We must still have the Cryo chamber stuffed in a cupboard at the AoL ????If it could keep Kirchhoff of all people fit it’s well worth the investment

Don't think he meant a few months of him being out injured, I thought it sounded like he wasn't overly concerned as he was 1 for the future and it would take him a few months to get up to speed, might be wrong. He also said it was a slight strain which wouldn't be a few monthsMowbray said it was a "few months".
His words.
He got injured in training, a lot of players get injured in training. Some players get injured in pre match warm ups. Thats just what happens in sport. Doesn't need a review to try and find someone to blame.Either way, shouldn't happen in a kick about. We have to many injures that are none contact. Needs a review IMO.
I think it’s fair to observe trends from the outside. Injury rates with different managers and fitness/medical teams. You cannot say our injury rate does not appear, from the outside at least, to be high. The club is trying to improve across the board and we all want the best. We comment on match day performance, transfers, ticketing etc. Why not debate our injury record too? The end of last season clearly demonstrates the impact on the team. The club need to get rid of these medical experts they have and listen to fans on an internet forum who clearly know better.
