Scores good goals at good times. That's a talent not to be underestimated
He scores the odd goal for us, averages a goal every 8 games but for me he disappears in too many games.

The game bypasses him by far too often, he doesnt have the energy to get about the pitch like others do n the inconsistency is a big issue for me

If we are aiming for promotion we need more quality and players who perform more consistently than the likes of embleton

It’s fine signing all these exciting youngsters who will run about with skill and enthusiasm, until things go wrong. But I think if we’re really serious about getting up we need a statement signing. A focal point for the team. And that probably means spending a bit of money.
It’s nice having a team that plays sexy football. But we also need people who can dig in and win dirty. Flair is great, but so is efficiency.
At the moment it looks like we’re trying to bring in and develop youngsters into a team that will walk the league in a couple of years. Providing nobody takes the better players. Which they will.
Whatever happens it’s exciting.

Cairney would be absolute next level.

To have a player with that experience, that calm on the ball with passing range would be great for the first 11 and even more of a benefit to the young lads.

Like everyone else, I feel be far too expensive for us right now.

I'd agree with all of that except having one player as a focal point tbh. I think the team spirit is excellent atm and one player taking all the focus wouldn't be good and, if they don't play well, or are injured, it leaves a big gap.

Just my thoughts.

Why would Cairney come here? He is a premier league player and could get into a few teams there.

Unless his contract is old and nearly out, his wages would be miles away from us. Fulham paid very big in the Championship, never mind having gone up.
Not sure, he hardly played for Fulham and is probably slightly below that level.

Agreed. We have our stand out talents we definitely don’t need a ‘star’ as such.

Personally feel Roberts and Clarke will grow further without Amad getting that treatment.
