I mean I highly doubt Amad runs his own social, that’s a member of Manchester United staff or a PR company doing that. Also removed profile picture.

Does suggest he’s being distanced from a return though, for sure.

See Bradley Dack still on a free. Not suggesting a move for him but wonder what went wrong there he was very good couple years back.
Still following the club and KLD tho

Def need another CDM, if neil gets injured we will struggle. Ekwah might be able to play there but hes more natural going box to box.

Also dont think embo and matete are of the quality for a team pushing for promotion. Rigg n bellingham are obviously young lads so depends how much they develop this season but we will need to be clever with their minutes
Completely agree, one part of the game that Evans does well is shield the back four when required and I'm not sure that's in Neil's game (yet). O'Nien can do it but I'm not sure he can do the rest of the stuff a CDM needs to do to the levels required.

Bored of it now like. He's clearly wanting to go elsewhere so take the 7m and reinvest it
How is he clearly wanting to go elsewhere, we have no idea if he wants to stay or not. Speakman said a couple of weeks ago that all the indications were that Stewart wanted to stay, they just had reached a agreement yet

Yeah I’m keeping an open mind on the reasons behind the long contract talks although I think he’ll go. He’s not publicly said he wants to leave and neither has any agent. Mowbray has mentioned he’s happy and seems to want to stay.

Only Stewart knows so no point in trying to guess. However, if it starts to become a distraction to the squad or potential signings then we need a cut off point where he either signs or goes on the transfer list.

He’s a superb player but the clubs and squad as a whole is more important.

If he's happy at the club and he starts scoring again like he did before his injury he is a great player. And even if the 7million rumours are true he would be hard to replace even for 7million

I wouldn't, I would rather he signed a new contract, doesn't really matter when he signs it as long as he does.
Only way he’d sign is if we match the wages the likes of Stoke and Southampton are offering.

It’ll mean we are financially gambling on promotion and making it close to a must - similar to West Brom now (who are apparently financially buggered).

Shouldn't be getting rid of Pritchard, he's a very good player

He can be a very good player when he decides to be. My issue is that he doesn't score or assist enough, plus his set plays are awful. We looked better when he wasn't in the team and he came on to see out a game.

Bellingham has come to play, so I doubt he's going to play 2nd fiddle to Pritchard with Rigg 3rd choice in that role.

I get that but for me a CDM is possibly the most important position in a 433 formation. The 3 midfielders need to know which one is holding, Neil really improved in the CDM role last season - think he was top 8 for tackles in the league regardless of position. Ekwah might be able to play there but think it takes a lot away from his game, he seems best being able to go box to box - bellingham is the same. Rigg has an eye for goal so you dont want him sitting, plus be a huge ask for a 16 yr old to do that no matter how talented he is

Embleton cant play that role as he isnt strong enough in tackling n he doesnt cover the ground quick enough.

Pritchard is an AM only

Matete wins tackles well in CM but positionally he isnt great so doesnt block passing lanes through the centre of the pitch. In possession he struggles to pass through the lines. Id love matete to get a loan move in a possession based side so he can improve in that area as there is def a player in there

The above is why i think a CDM will be high on the priority list, need someone with a bit of experience that can help us see out games better
Of all the players in our team there is probably only 1 I dont think we have a replacement for if injury strikes. That is Dan Neil. Not because he is our best player, he isnt. But he plays in what I think is the toughest position of all, a holding pivot type role. I dont think anyone else reads the game in there, can play on the half turn, can bo both ways etc. It is a worry for me going into the season. He played over 40 games last season, can he do that again? I want him to because I think he is excellent and makes us a much better side. We do need someone who can do the role in addition as well though. Not sure who, they are like strikers in that they are so important. And then who wants to play second fiddle. Really tough for the club that one I think. Maybe Huggins is an answer, I dont know. Cirkin has a lot of what you need to play in there, but we lose so much when he isnt at left back. I dont want to give Ekwah too much restraint in his game either, I think he needs to be a bit of a free spirit in our side because of his talent. Tricky challenge to get right I think.

Class when places report were "missing out" on transfer targets yet really no one except the club know who they're in for.

I always question why the article has been written and who it's been written by.

I give myself set time limits to come and check the forums and NewsNow for SAFC news. Too much time spent on them is bad for me like. Especially when there is so much pessimism and bullshit.

Ultimately I trust SAFC to get it right both ins and outs and now have decided to wait for SAFC to annouce before I believe it :emoticon-0100-smile much healthier

Completely agree about Neil. We have numbers in CM but not balance. as you say Ekwah could do a job but I think it limits his game.

We also have Ba for that role so i wouldnt be suprised in the slightest if Pritch leaves aswell as Embo who also plays that position. Were too well stacked in that area for one not to leave really. Rigg has been a big suprise in how quickly he's thrown himself into first team recognition so they really is no need to keep Embleton or Pritchard.
