Wages as you have said takes us out the game. Imo, Leicester, seeing as they're chucking money about like confetti.

In say the Short era we'd have been all over something like this and I suspect it would be a waste of money. With the club as it is now I think we'd look at his wage and attitude in recent years and it wouldn't be something we'd even consider.

It'll be someone with a bit of desperation and plenty of money who takes him on, could well be Leicester.

I'd take him if wages were partially paid by Everton.

I'd imagine Everton would consider paying him off tbh.

They can't afford to take a risk and pay the £10m if they play him imo.

They won't find a buyer who'd consider paying his wages.

He won't give up that money to become a free agent.

Everton are in a 'Rodwell situation' ...

... what a shame.

They’re relying on 3 teams being worse than them for me, be amazed if they finish higher than 4th bottom, Atleast the likes of Luton will battle, can’t say the same for Everton

Experienced midfielder you say......

Could be the experienced midfielder we are after. Although I think we’d be after someone who is a leader, where we can benefit from their experience whereas Ali is more someone who needs support and his career rebuilding. If his head is straight he could be fantastic for someone.

Absolutely. Playing to his ability in the Championship he’d take the absolute piss.

Just the size of them question marks man.

Don’t see any real value in it for us. Yes a fantastic player potentially but if successful his value goes up and it’s all to Everton’s advantage. We get a short term boost but at the cost of game time for one of our own. All the risk is ours if he’s unsettled away from his roots in London and disrupting others around him. With Roberts we brought him in so value is all ours. With Amad we know what he’s about and his attitude is spot on.

If Alli was fit and 100% on it, then it’s a no brainer. He’s a big step up on what we currently have.

Absolutely.

The lad was a top end player in Europe. You’d hope he can get it back but history says that rarely happens.

Same seeing Drinkwater desperately sharing himself about. Theoretically based on Leicester days ideal for us, right position, experience. In reality no faith lad can still play at 32.

Aye definitely agree it’s a holding player we want, but the idea of an Alli playing to his level is nice.

Massive gamble though and would swallow a hell of a lot of budget.
Hes had more bad yrs than good now so not sure he will ever regain his best form

It is an exciting thought if we got him to 75% of what he was, he would destroy the league
