...and If they offered you 700k a week?Henderson can go to Hell, he has put money before morals
Silly money of course. But he’ll have earned enough for a comfortable life. He can go onto stuff after football to make his life even more comfortable. He’s been a prominent supporter of the rainbow laces campaign amongst other stuff. For me personally I now just feel he’s only done that stuff to make himself look good when deep down he doesn’t really care. It’s just a bit disappointing....and If they offered you 700k a week?

I’m not so judging of whether it’s right or wrong. I hate that it’s even an option. I hate that £700k per week for a player at his stage of his career is even a plausible thing, when there is so much need for money elsewhere in the world.
Im ok with professional footballers getting the market rate which has evolved over the years and will continue to grow. But this artificial sudden huge bump is not market rate. And it’s going to have huge ramifications for wages elsewhere in the world and is going to make the gap between the elite and the rest even bigger.
It’s strange isn’t it, and not just for a Jordan, but for all of them.
I mean, how much money do they need? I see them all the time ‘I can set my family up…’. Ok.
Even accounting for 50% tax though, he earns in a week about what I do in a year and I have a really ****ing comfortable life. To have my annual salary a week is absolutely mind boggling. I couldn’t spend it. My family believe me would already be well and truly setup.
That’s not the biggest issue though. They all showed it by going to the World Cup in Qatar, they are showing it again. They couldn’t give 2 ****s about people and principles. It’s all absolute bullshit.
Now, plenty have said ‘no’ to Saudi and they are the ones that come out glowing. Ronaldinho and I think Messi turned down City early in their rise, many turned down China when that was kicking off.
Every person who goes there has put a black mark on their career. If an England international goes there I’d hope and expect that to be the end of them being an England international.
I wouldn’t turn down 700k a week. I haven’t already got £20million or whatever banked though. It’s simply not the right question.
What we have to ask ourselves is more like ‘would I go and do MY job I Saudi for 3-4 times my salary’
I don’t think I would, too much compromise, but I can’t say that with certainty unless it actually happened.
Jordan Henderson has also donated a lot of money to charity over the years. IF the intent is to try and do some good with that extra cash then the moral dilemma becomes a little bit harder. It’s strange isn’t it, and not just for a Jordan, but for all of them.

We all know the games gone, now actual players are contributing to it going faster. Let them have their ****ing super league. We’d sharp form nee rivalries and we’d enjoy the levelling of the playing field.
We don’t need 5-6 clubs rammed down our throats. Would I hate us being a big club fighting for titles with Leeds, Villa and West Ham? Na, not one bit.

Future SAFC Owner? He's already very rich, he and his family are set for many generations. If I were him I would turn it down.
Can we somehow pin this on the Tories?
