O9 would be a massive loss. Versatility and his personality on and off the pitch.

I'd offer him a decent 12 month extension. Or even keep him around until next summer, even with the risk of him leaving on a free. By Jan we should have a good idea whether we're challenging for a prem spot, and can offer him better terms then, even with a release clause if we don't get promoted
Probably time to drop Evans and let O9 be the senior pro in the dressing room

If the club want LND to prove his fitness that could go over the transfer deadline. If we aren't keeping him we need to sell this window imo

that works both ways tho. Don’t think anybody will buy him until he’s proved his fitness.
Agreed. Not for any significant sum anyway. If he really isn't going to sign a new deal, and we can't sell him now then I'd just play him and see where we are at the end of the season. If we go up, he might be chomping at the bit to re-sign with us.
I'd rather his goals get us up, than we cash in for a few million in Jan that could potentially derail our season. If his attitude is good, then just play him

You're right, the money from promotion would render the level of his fee somewhat irrelevant ...

... besides, there's no point fretting about the situation.

Que sera, sera.

TC good post which encapsulates everything that needs to be said about LND and the subject should be put to bed until the lad makes his mind up. The what ifs and alsos have been done to death on this.

I agree with you on this.

My thoughts on Stewart are few tbh.

Thankfully he wasn't a big money signing we were pinning all our hopes on ...

... and we developed a better style of play without him, although I'd rather have him fit than not.

We missed his height at corners and free kicks, in both boxes, but we've addressed that to an extent. With Mowbray in charge I'm expecting the defence and midfield to chip in with many more headed goals than last season.

100% this, said it few times.

Yes we want to make profit on players...but his value may not be great...sometimes despite our model we will have to chance our arm...next season is chance our arm time with RS as he could be the difference...it could go wrong...hey ho...we wont get anywhere if we dont take few risk & this one is kinda low....him signing a new 4 year deal on a large wage increase, then finding out hes either not the same player or he gets crocked again is a larger risk
