Had a look at this (I’d held off till was done).

Looks a big, athletic lad. Great feet. Thing that stands out is composure.

Looks a great link player likes to drop deep and can pick a pass.

I’m sold on him, as a 2 with Stewart he’d be an absolute weapon.
Imagine a few of them top corner rockets flying in at the SOL :1980_boogie_down:

The scary thing with this lad is he doesnt know how to fully use his strength yet. Only watched him a couple times but hes a handful, needs to improve link up play n his movement wasnt always great the games i watched but the potential is huge

The way our recruitment team have been finding them and the fact that TM is great at developing players makes be superb excited about this lad

Great start to the window, buzzing about who else we bring in

Agree wuth the folk saying about a bit of experience, for me we need a couple players to come in with a minimum of 100 games under their belt (like a ballard from last season)

What I do like on the ‘link up’ side is that the lad always has a look.

That’s footballing intelligence, we often see forwards who just want to run and shoot, looks like he considers his next move.

Im basing this off a 5 minute showreel of course but there’s a thinking player and clear ability there.

Excited to see the lad.

100%, you can tell hes been coached the right way

One of the games i watched him he kept dropping too deep, i was wanting to see him lead the line more as he was destroying the 2 cbs.

Knowing when to drop deep, when to hold the line n when to run the channels/in behind, all come with more experience. He has the tools to do it all which is the most exciting thing

Looks like he’d be prefect to play of Ross if 1) he’s here and 2) we wanna go that route.

My thoughts exactly
Excellent business so far. New deal for someone next?

Looks like Semedo fits the bill for every aspect the recruitment look for:

21 or under
High potential
Great attitude and personality
Good football brain
High technical ability
Athletic

Now we’re bringing in strength as well.

I'm very happy with the signing of Hemir. I was expecting him to be a development project, but giving him the number 9 shirt is a big statement - as is a 5 year deal and getting him to sign ahead of Brighton and Benfica.

The club stood by it's convictions of not bringing in a striker if they didn't think it was the right fit or the right deal. We obviously think this lad is the real thing and I'm excited about it because our recruitment team have a habit of being right.

Of course, I would like Ross to stay and sign a long time contract but I now have total faith in our recruitment team and whatever happens I reckon they will have made the best of the situation.

If he stays then I’m sure we will have the right deal in place.
If he goes I trust the clubs judgement that it would be the best option.

We don’t want to end up with an unhappy player or pay over the odds but I do believe he will be offered a good deal considering that he may not return as the player we know or that he may be more susceptible to injuries. Maybe a good basic deal with extras thrown in for number of appearances.

The club has been getting just about everything right and they will get this right as well.

Just on your last point, Strength and Height looked like an issue at times last year. Our younger players are still probably developing the physical side of their game, but a spine of Alese, Ekwah and Hemir doesn't look to lack height or muscle. They could all be physical monsters in a couple of years.

We are starting to have a look of Brighton about us.

What they’ve done is magnificent imagine that at a ‘proper’ football club like us.

Its such a great time, we don’t know if they all gonna work out but it’s exciting and every signing makes sense.
There are definitely similarities between us aren't there. I've just renewed my season ticket for Brighton next season, having just watched them have their best ever season and have Europe to look forward to next season.
If only they'd loan us Caceido, he's a phenomenal player and is destined for the very top.

What they’ve done is incredible. And the similarities are clear.

Continuity being key, to lose Potter and not skip a beat is incredible, be a big test replacing Caicedo and Mac though.

Yeah they will be a loss but theyve already brought in Pedro and that German fella with the ryhming name.
To think theyve made top 6 with Jason Steele in goal. Beggars belief...
