We'll be swapping places with Burnley this time next year so Jack would be stupid to leave us for them. If it was a mid table Prem team id understand but not Burnley ffs

Agree but if the reported fee of 7m is even close to what the club will accept, and the fans are saying 20m plus when looking at the Watford players fee, then the first test of this regimes selling prowess is going to seriously upset the fanbase!Agreed but I guess the problem we've got is we don't actually have a precedent yet which tells us what sort of money this regime are willing to accept.
He won't be going cheap mate, we can be pretty certain of that. We will only sell when it suits us, plus we have his replacement either at the club already, or we know who we need to bring in.Agreed but I guess the problem we've got is we don't actually have a precedent yet which tells us what sort of money this regime are willing to accept.
If we were to sell at 7M we would hardy make any profit. They managed to get £1million from Everton for a 16 yr old who never played a 1st team game so reckon they'll be getting more than £7 million for a player like ClarkeI'm playing devil's advocate, beleive me. As I trust the owner and Speakman. BUT I don't think we can be sure that he won't be going cheap. We have no historical context to show us what this ownership want to do with selling players.
I do trust them that they won't accept anything that isn't what they think is right for us. I just don't know what they think is right.

Need a buyer first, can’t see anyone paying above £25m for him, still a hefty fee at this level likeThis is how the likes of them will buy their way out

Why no man Bruno if the best midfielder in the world the divvent need anyone elsenewcastle? lol
I think we can be fairly certain we will hold out for a good deal that suits us.Aye I didn't say £7m. I just said we can't be sure that we will hold out for the types of numbers most of us will be happy with.

I think a reinvestment in one of them cryo chambers would be a wise move from us. Allardyce managed to keep Kirchoff fit with one and Defoe swore by it.I'm still slightly concerned about our CB cover. Alese and Ballard both had two injuries in their first season with us, makes me a little worried about their reliability going forward. Batth I don't think has a bad injury record but he is getting on. After that it's Triantis and Anderson who are both young and inexperienced, and would probably be sent out on loan this year in an ideal world, and then we're back to square pegs in round holes... It's a difficult one as there is depth there, I'm just a bit concerned about the injury records personally.
On Clarke, I wonder if the club have Aravena pencilled in as his replacement and the links to that one went cold whilst we were waiting to see what happened with JC... Wouldn't surprise me to see him signed up sharpish if Jack goes.
I think everything they've done up to now, deserve our trust. We are a different beast now, on the football side.I'm not fairly certain of anything in football likeEspecially when we haven't experienced this ownership selling a top asset yet. We all want to believe we will hold out for £20-25m (or more) but when bids of £13-14m come in, who knows how this lot will react. Especially if they see that income as being the difference between retaining Stewart, Roberts, Cirkin etc
I wouldn't sell for less than £20m myself, but I'm not the one trying to balance a squad and contract renewals.

Relegation goes against them getting that fee. He is a hell of a good footballer though. Would immediately improve the likes of Tottenham, Brentford, Villa. I could even see him sitting in alongside Casameiro and making Man U better. Someone will get a proper player for around £40m I reckon. You must log in or register to see media

Ideally we'll keep our most important players, get LND signed up on a new contract, along with Cirkin and Roberts. Oh and we sign Amad up.I absolutely trust them - not saying I don't. I love these guys and what they're doing to our club.
