Yeah I think there's enough big lads in the team when everyone's fit. Makes sense to target them though for cover though as you say, it was borderline comical what we were having to do with our defence towards the end.

So we now have Batth, Triantis, Ballard, Alese and Onien to cover CB, and possibly Wright but i cant see him staying.
Does everyone think we're sorted in that position now? I do personally.

Cirkin can also slot in on the Left side of defence if needs be. We also have Anderson but i think he'll be loaned out.

Hume also proved he can cover if need be as well. I’d be surprised to see another centre half come in now.

Wright will go for a small fee and Anderson will be loaned to League One imo.

Some fans are saying we need more experience at the back. What some people forget though is its Ballards 4th year playing first team football next season, (3rd in the Championship).

He got promoted with Blackpool 3 years ago, spent a season with Millwall winning their young player of the year, and last season with us.
He has plenty of experience now playing in the EFL.

Yeah I'm completely relaxed on the experience front.

These lads will also grow quicker themselves in theyre forced into leadership roles. Like Ballard and Cirkin will relish being two of the older players (which is mental)

I personally think that we have enough experience in our squad.
I'm impressed with how the seniors have helped and encouraged our young lads.
Last years expereience for all of them will be so valuable in all directions so therefore I'm assuming no new signings over the age of 26 from now on.

Not to mention Batth is an absolute alpha of a leader.

Good point, I really think what people believe we need to enhance the squad has been compounded by the number of injuries we have had in the same position. Like all our centre halves being out…that’s not normal and very unlikely to happen again. On a normal season we would have been fine.

I’m not worried about the depth in our squad as much as I have been in the past other than up front. We’re already in a very good position for next season and looks like we will be getting main targets over the line early for a change which is tremendous.

Can’t wait for the footy to kick off again

I must admit that I was of the opinion that we could've done with a bit more experience signed during the January window but the way the young players stepped up to the mark when the likes of Stewart and especially Evans and Batth were injured, will stand them in good stead.

Said from day one Ba will be a proper star for us and was delighted he was given a five year contract.
Not seen anything to change my mind in the bit parts he's had last season.

Person who I work with who supports Burnley says Clarke to them "is pretty much done according to somebody on their end who always gets ITK stuff right".

Won't believe it until I see it. Club would be daft to sell any of the young lads after their first good season! Another season and he goes up in value again.

The lad is our best prospect to make big money!

No mention of fee so we might already be.

Clubs rarely bid for players without encouragement so the fact that multiple sources have said there have been bids, even if the bids have been poor - does suggest its going to happen this summer. I'd rather it happened sooner so can spend the dosh.

I know they’re now a Premier League side but that’s a **** move for him if it happens.

I can’t see them spending the sort of money we’d be asking for on a winger.

Agreed but I guess the problem we've got is we don't actually have a precedent yet which tells us what sort of money this regime are willing to accept.
