I can only think of LND being injured in the warm up v Boro which has cost a player time away when not as a result of match day contact.
Young Embleton broke his ankle in an inoccuse challenge against Blackpool
The list is endless this season and a massive factor in last nights result
Bringing players back before they’re ready is also a stupid idea.

Agreed, it's more likely that they will breakdown again in the future. Look at Craig Gordon as an example, or Ricky Alvarez who should never have been signed until he'd had the operation to fix his knee problem. There's a huge difference between being 90% fit and 70%. At 70% you can take part in training and maybe play for a few minutes, but even if it's not the main injury that causes problems, you can develop other issues compensating for it the longer you play.

In the end the injuries, especially at the back, cost us. The games came just too early for Ballard and Alese to be really effective and although Alese played last night, it wasn't worth setting him back if he picked up another knock playing the full game.

It does read like that but it may be a case of nothings sorted yet so he can't commit in his post?

Hopefully it gets sorted soon!

If that was the case he just wouldn't post anything yet, imo. I reckon he's been told he's not coming back which is a real shame, he has massive potential. Seems a no-brainer to me if the quoted 2.5m is right

You talk sense in all of that mate. Just wishful thinking hoping we wouldn't be daft enough to not get him in at that price. To be honest he might not be interested in coming perm he might have other offers.

Could also be that to be fair! Maybe he was never interested unless we got promoted, although if so I think he's got ideas above his station. He's decent and has potential, but he's no way a Prem level player yet, imo.

100% mate. He hasn't seemed the type but you never know he is at PSG at the moment and I'd imagine that could give him such ideas. But of course all speculation and see what happens.

Most would agree we've been one serious injury away from having a better season than we had, if Mitchu is ready to sign and the price is right and he's tried and tested here already why wouldn't we sign him up.
Whose to say our current two midfielders don't pick up bad injuries in August, not to mention rotation and giving young Neil a rest now and then. Get the lad signed ffs.

Thing is though, if we purchased for 2.5m and he stayed as a squad player then sold him a year later we'd at least double our money. Also that's if he wants to join!!
Would depend what our budget is, I think he came on a lot last season and i would be happy to have him back. If 2.5 million eats into a lot of our budget then id so no as dont think he starts for us
