Sad to see Gooch go mind, that statement sounds like he was pushed a wee bit but progress is what it is.
Onien I think. Unless we are counting Patto through the Academy.Whose our longest serving player now?
He's going to Troyes
Aye really is. Can’t wish him anything but the best, he will get some reception at the SoL.
Top post John. Completely agree. Wish the lad all the best, he is welcome back on the terraces at the SoL anytime. Great servant in difficult times.Lad gave his all, scored a winner at Wembley for the first time since 73 to give us something shiny to put in the cabinet. But it's clear from the caliber of players we're bringing in, he mimutes will be limited or none at all.
He has been here through the good, bad and goodish times and never hid, served under 3 different owners, never gave up even when he was playing in a team of quitters, piss heads and ****ers like that c**t Plodwell. And he loves this place. I'm genuinely getting emotional typing this. If anyone knows him on here or if he looks on here, tell him simply Thank You.
He will, at least until he inevitably scores their last minute winner !
Lovely words and you just know he means every single one of them. You must log in or register to see media

Already well into the wine ! Looking at some pics now, it looks like pancakes with bacon and maple syrup There'll be... Hell On
Scored a Wembley winner - not many can say thatNowhere near our best player, but I'm absolutely gutted to see Gooch go.
He gave his all for our club and I'll miss seeing him in a Sunderland shirt.

Love the lad. Will always be in my heart. The one lad that stuck on throughout our awful fall to help get us back on the up again. Much better player than some would suggest as well, and getting a deal at Stoke proves that point. We move on though, we have to, but always remember the memories. You must log in or register to see media
