Course I want Dan to stay but if we got close to £30m for him as mooted and picked up Michut, a better passer of the ball for £3-5m, can’t be offended.

It would be absolute insanity for us to sell Stewart, Roberts, Clarke, Neil, Gooch, Batth and Pritchard today. We’ve signed 7 so far this window and selling this lot would mean we’d need another 7 in less than 12 hours! Won’t happen. Stewart and Gooch are done by the sounds of it. Batth might still go along with Pritchard but I can’t see Roberts, Clarke and Neil being allowed to go as well. Maybe one of the 3 (which would still be bad) but not all of them - that would be suicidal for the club.

I almost said that when I posted thatv it would be the end of the road for Embleton but didn't want to disrupt tge thread. I think Neil needs to go to a PL club to become a PL player, just as Henderson did.
