Thing is, we've been without him for that long now, that technically, we haven't had him to even need replacing if you see what I mean.

It's not as though we're losing a player who has scored goals for us this season, or losing a player who even contributed all that much to us nearly getting promoted last season.

For me, we've got nothing to lose by him going, just £8m to gain. Even if he stayed, not only will his head not be in it, but he might very well have glass ankles for all we know.
£10m buys him imo

I'd rather take the cash now for Stewart. Invest now hopefully, and not be scratching about again for a striker in next window with less money to spend.

If we don't replace him we are destined for mid table. Even if this Rusyn lad comes in, we are massively lacking in goals

We might be lacking in goals even if Stewart stays for all you know.

All we've got to go on right now is the facts. And the fact is, he's currently coming back from a very serious injury. He might only be half the player he was. We have money on the table for him, and we'd be stupid not to take it, even if he's not replaced.

The problem for me is not if he goes it’s if we have a suitable replacement lined up
Can’t blame Stewart he’s had a potentially career threatening injury this may be his only chance of a big payday. From where he came from potentially life changing I don’t think he will be the player he was so £8m plus would be good business Hopefully we have something in the pipeline. For me has to be someone similar with a physical presence who can give us something different and lead the line
I honestly think if we haven't got that replacement then Stewart goes nowhere

Bet Blackburn are kicking themselves that they didn’t just take the money for Brereton Diaz last summer or January

I think we are going to be forced to cash in on him - Playing devils advocate for the people who say dont sell and keep him for a year to go on a free that is essentially paying a £6m loan fee for a player who might not get up to speed for a while

To get £8-10m at this stage would be brilliant business, if it is invested correctly and spent in this window. If it isnt and it ends up one striker in and one striker out then its suicide from Speakman and co, it will get toxic quickly. It also needs to be buys and not loans coming in. This striker situation has been ongoing for 12 months and going into the final couple of days of the window isn't very clever.
