I think all the new languages are confusing uncle Tony.![]()
Well he came in from Sochaux, which is in France (about 40Km from where I am now). So some confusion might be allowed !I'm sure he did his first interview in French.
I think he did as well tbf, we signed him from a French club so is probably speaking to Ba and Ekwah in French if his English isn't so good.I'm sure he did his first interview in French.
Not many people visit MiddlesbroughI think all the new languages are confusing uncle Tony.![]()

Not on purpose anywayNot many people visit Middlesbrough
Wonder how his Ukranian is coming on.
Very promising:
"You just have to watch this space," said Mowbray.
"Maybe the end of the international break or during the international break, there might be the potential that he plays an internal in-house game or something like that. That's how close he is I think, in my mind, but let's wait and see.
"I just think it's a nice feeling to think we sign a striker or two this week and then Ross Stewart gets fit as well and all of a sudden we've got three new strikers, then the young French kid (Eliezer Mayenda) gets fit and it's four new strikers, then there's Hemir, five strikers and I'll be moaning we've got too many.
"Let's wait and see. Ross fit would be a huge boost because of the impact he makes in the dressing room in the group. He's a very well thought of footballer at this club."
Regarding new contract:
He said: “I genuinely don’t think the club are over-stressing on it. What did he cost? It certainly wasn’t millions and millions.
“I don’t think the club are over-stressing. They’re making him offers that they think are special in the context of where our football club is at the moment. We’re not just trying to give him a good contract – we’re trying to make it an incredibly good contract for him in terms of where he is, and our club is, at the moment."

I’m livid KLD hasn’t built a monorail for the likes of stansfield, off the field a shambles againI have to say I find this all a little offensive.
Mowbray is blithely contradicting decent Sunderland supporters who know the truth.
The club were quite happy to sell off Stewart along with Batth, Pritchard, Neil, Clarke, Roberts, Patterson, without bringing in replacements, in the pursuit of profit over ambition. Thankfully people aren't fooled by this attempted cover up from Mowbray who's furious with Speakman but being coerced into repeating the rhetoric ... shame on him for taking the company dollar and calling a French speaking player French, the club is a laughing stock.
It's naive of the club to believe they can fool people when the facts are so readily available from people on the internet
And don't get me started on us refusing to persuade Stansfield to move the length of the country to sit onvtge bench when Stewart's fit![]()
Beautiful bit of the world we used to detour all over france driving home from spain, (home from home), and stayed a couple of times in mathay very pretty area having done a bit of Switzerland, if I’m thinking of the right place that isWell he came in from Sochaux, which is in France (about 40Km from where I am now). As disappointing as it is to be going into our 4th league game of the season without a striker, the noises coming out the club yesterday were encouraging - sounds like Rusyn is a goer, Mayenda and Stewart are close to being back, with Seelt & Embo back tomorrow. Finally the injuries are clearing up and we might just have a chance with Stewart and/or Rusyn.
Of course Stansfield not signing has set a few away, notably the WMS whoppers using it as an excuse to further bask Speakman/KLD, but it is what it is and hopefully there are a couple of PL loans lined up late in the window to supplement what we already have
Did we ever only have Grigg as a striker? Pretty sure him and Wyke overlapped as our most minging squad choices...This time a few short years ago our striker shortlist looked like this -
1. Will Grigg.
2. Oh, you wanted more than one name?
This years we've already signed two and may be on the verge of signing another, and we've been strongly linked to plenty of others.
It's called having options.
What about that fat bastard. Was he not supposed to be a striker?Did we ever only have Grigg as a striker? Pretty sure him and Wyke overlapped as our most minging squad choices...
Take your point however
It says Alex Neil, but very fitting for Big Tone:Wonder how his Ukranian is coming on.
This should be posted over the road. Now that would be interesting.I have to say I find this all a little offensive ...
