Aye - Mogga was talking about the deal we had lined up being delayed over contract issues with parent club - that doesn't sound like Stansfield.

hey ho. Move on. Never fancied her anyway

Mogga also said that we were looking at permanent deals rather than loans for now. So, it makes you wonder if we were ever after him or maybe just keeping our powder dry in case permanent deals fell through.

I'd love to get hold of Brightons data, apparently its unique and all down to the owner.

Blokes clearly a genius
To be fair you’ve then got to play and adapt/ develop the signing into premier league players, something we and others have failed miserably at in the past. I’m sure if you put say David Moyes in there Brighton’s model would spectacularly implode.

Changing the head coach shouldn't have a big impact on a clubs model though. They will go for someone who fits the model they have deployed. They went for De Zebri after Potter which suited Brightons model and when Moyes ****s off West Ham will go for someone who fits their model.

Weird one Rusyn because if Stewart stays he’s our 9 with Clarke and Roberts wide but we’ve spent a decent chunk of money on him.

All fully fit I’d have Stewart with Clarke and Roberts wide, Dack as the shadow striker. Take a risk with Bellingham CDM because I don’t think Ekwah is the answer there and Neil B2B. Cirkin LB, Alese LCB Ballard RCB and Hume RB with Patto in goal.

Bellingham as the CDM because I don’t think we’ll sign one and Alese only because I think we need to move on from Bathh, won’t sign a decent CB and don’t know how good Seelt is yet.

Ba as back up for Clarke, Rusyn for Stewart, Bennette for Roberts.

Rigg for Dack, Ekwah for Neil and Evans for Bellingham.

Huggins covers both sides, Alese can cover LB, Seelt, O’nien and Triantis as options in the middle.

I'll admit I'm a fan boy, but, I dont see any scenario where Ekwah isn't a guaranteed starter, for me. He's very occasionally not as good as he has been at his best during other games...but he is literally top drawer. His physique is def a factor. You could argue Dan Neil has a bigger upside if everything goes right, and i'd definitely listen to that argument...but taking everything in to account as it stands now, if Ekwah progresses like looks likely... he is a world class talent. His attititude seems fully in line with that trajectory too.

I'm a huge fan of Ekwah but so far this season Neil has been our
best midfielder by a distance imho. Its a great problem to have but for me Neil starts every game for me along side who ever we get as a DCM.

Ekwah and Neil both v good players, their understanding is growing with every game and they could be a good PL combination in a few years time. Exciting upside.

however, they can’t play every game. We are bound to have injuries and need to rotate players. plus we might actually unlock the best of ekwah and Neil when they both have license to be box to box with a CDM behind them.

we might even end up with Real Madrid style diamond at some point, with Jude and Jobe in the same role.

Very promising:

"You just have to watch this space," said Mowbray.

"Maybe the end of the international break or during the international break, there might be the potential that he plays an internal in-house game or something like that. That's how close he is I think, in my mind, but let's wait and see.

"I just think it's a nice feeling to think we sign a striker or two this week and then Ross Stewart gets fit as well and all of a sudden we've got three new strikers, then the young French kid (Eliezer Mayenda) gets fit and it's four new strikers, then there's Hemir, five strikers and I'll be moaning we've got too many.

"Let's wait and see. Ross fit would be a huge boost because of the impact he makes in the dressing room in the group. He's a very well thought of footballer at this club."

Regarding new contract:

He said: “I genuinely don’t think the club are over-stressing on it. What did he cost? It certainly wasn’t millions and millions.

“I don’t think the club are over-stressing. They’re making him offers that they think are special in the context of where our football club is at the moment. We’re not just trying to give him a good contract – we’re trying to make it an incredibly good contract for him in terms of where he is, and our club is, at the moment."

Thought Mayender was Spanish?
