Blimey, McNally's moving fast! Hopefully it's an exciting inbound and not "Sorry, RvW's changed his mind". Probably just Garrido.
Just found out an interesting stat. Only Bayern Munich and Barcelona have spent more on 13-14 transfers than Norwich (so far!)
We haven't been linked to him, but thought I would stick this name into the hat. Graham Dorrens, wants to leave WBA to get more 1st team football, worth a punt?
He played 28 games last season, how much more does he want? Also, as a RM I think Snodgrass has pretty much got that sewn up.
What do people think of Simon Vukcevic, formerly of Blackburn? He's 27 and currently a free agent. He might be adequate cover for Snodgrass.
Andreas Weimann. It's the Daily Fail, but he's been mentioned as a player we wouldn't mind having here http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...n-targeted-Norwich-manager-Chris-Hughton.html
I thought Dorrens was more of a central midfielder, that's where he usually plays. There's an article which he says basically that even though he's played a lot 2nd half of the season he hasn't played enough, and obviously the manager won't give him promises for the future. As for weimann he will stay at villa now.
It'll be interesting to see how many players Wigan lose, either through choice or players forcing a move. A lot might depend on whether Martinez stays.
European football could well sway them into staying. Wigan go in at the group stage so are guaranteed 6 games. I could see a lot of players staying for that (because unless they move to the upper echelons of the PL (unlikely) they won't get it again), and then assessing their options in January if/when Wigan are out of the competition. If Wigan are somehow pushing for automatic promotion too, they might well stay, but otherwise many could move on then. I'm still not convinced Martinez will leave them.
http://www.hln.be/hln/nl/1301/Premi...3/05/15/Premier-League-ploeg-wil-Defour.dhtml Google translate Steven Defour is in the interest of Norwich City. The team, who all season fighting against relegation, would like to take the midfielder to England. Or Defour sense to play in a relegation team is still questionable. Norwich City is now sure of retaining the Premier League after Wigan relegated yesterday after the 4-1 loss at Arsenal. Norwich will not even go through such a season, so looking for reinforcements. It came out at our compatriot, Steven Defour. Defour currently plays in the Portuguese top club Porto. The 25-year-old midfielder is in his second season in Portugal, but has no basic place to enforce. Therefore, the ex-player Standard ears to another team, though perhaps expect the international interest of better teams than Norwich.
That would be quite a coup too if we could sign him, he's probably good enough to be a solid player for a much better side than us. If he's on the move, it wouldn't surprise me if bigger teams were interested. Transfermarkt value him more highly than Biglia, which I thought was interesting. Unlike Biglia though he's primarily a CM rather than a DM.
been linked with porto's belgian midfielder steven defour this morning. top quality midfielder, would be a huge upgrade on both tettey and johnson. likely to cost anywhere in the £6-10m bracket. no firm sources unfortunately
It's on thE talkSHITE website so it must be true ! http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...rwich-eyeing-ambitious-move-porto-star-197682
