Well the January thread made 2300 posts, so god knows where this one will end! As to the lay-out, I've pretty much completely nicked it from Hampy on the Ipswich board, so I can't really take any credit for that. Not sure if this is sarcastic or not...but the aim is to keep everything in one place so that if you don't like them, the rest of the board won't be dominated with a new thread for every single rumour. Yeah, I like the way Brighton play, and I think they'd adapt well to the Premier League, but I was a little pleased they lost tonight as it increases our chances of signing Bridcutt significantly.
We've sent scouts to see Nathan Redmond. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/norwich-transfer-news-nathan-redmond-1806938
Good rumour - you can also throw in the rumour that we're interested in Martin Olsson as a new left back. That would be a really good signing, I think he's class
for the last four transfer windows we have "acquired" a player from Feeds in each. will this trend continue? and if so, who is the lucky player?. i'm not sure they have anyone left above league one quality.
I reckon you're thinking of Sam Byram. Personally I haven't seen much of him but he seems to be fairly highly regarded by Leeds fans as an excellent player and prospect.
With RvW already coming, I wouldn't be surprised if Van Ginkel pops up again as AM. Both he and Nathan Redmond would be under 21 and therefore not count in the 25 man squad. I also like Liam Bridcutt to replace Fox, but £5m seems a bit steep. Will obviously depend on how much money there is in the budget. I wouldn't surprised if we went for Curtis Davies again. Will also need a LB and I wondered about Danny Rose on perm or loan from Spurs. He's done well at Sunderland this year and they want him on a perm.
With our new found interest in the youth squad, you might want to include this one about Ollie Cole joining us from Luton: http://www.lutontown.co.uk/news/article/ollie-cole-joins-norwich-821050.aspx
Rick, I agree £5m is steep but the fact they won't be going up might help out in that respect. If the player is aware of the interest and wants to force a move it could lower it somewhat. Certainly for £5m we'd be better looking elsewhere. With regards Rose, I think the problem is Sunderland are pretty likely to stay up, in which case he'd probably prefer to go somewhere he's already comfortable.
Will Buckley is that? A winger comfortable on both sides would certainly be an asset, although I feel as Hughton seems to want to make the most of the wings, any wingers signing will be really top quality. I'm not sure if he'd really be any better than Bennett. Probably cost us £3m+ too. I quite like the look of Juan Iturbe, who's an 19 year old Argentine winger dubbed "The New Messi". FC Porto loaned him to River Plate this season, but there's chance we could maybe have him on loan.
