How does Swansea insiders brushing aside speculation blow my 'theories' apart?

When Rodgers joined us it was reported that we couldn't sign any Swansea players for twelve months, I believe this was confirmed by Rodgers too? Swansea are denying a rumour, probably after being asked the question, and it shows that they are not willing to sell (if thats what you meant by 'theories')

Only kidding, I like Dempsey and he can score goals!! Will be a good addition if true. I know some will moan but Dempsey wants to win, wants to improve and works hard for the team. <ok>

And goals are certainly something we missed last season so we should be seeing a few from him <ok>

From that link:

As part of the compensation package that saw Rodgers released from his contract to join Liverpool in May, Swansea insisted on a "player protection" clause that prevents the Anfield club from bidding for any of their players for the next 12 months.
However, if Swansea accept a bid from any other club for a particular player, then Liverpool can express their interest.

I will say this, we must be selling something good to Dempsey as he has expressed countless times he wants to play in the CL. Hopefully it is a hunger to get us up there? Better wages? ( obvious one)

Best offer on the table...? Can't really see Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Tottenham or Arsenal going for him. You can probably add Newcastle to that too since they have Tiote, Cabaye, Cisse and Ba in a 442 system <ok>

They say they don't want to sell, losely translated as you will have to pay over the odds if you really want him. We have players that we can offer them, on a permanent basis or on loan. So you never know. I would be happy to push the boat out for the lad.

Top player IMO.
 
Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has not ruled out selling the club's best players if the price is right.

Midfielder Joe Allen has been linked with a move to join former Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool.

Laudrup said he has no intention of selling Allen, 22, but is not surprised that Swansea's best players are targets for other Premier League clubs.

"It's normal there is interest but of course we want to keep our most important players here," he said.

"But it's also a part of football to accept sometimes that people leave when the offer is too big - for the club or for the player."

Ya, could be but I think Arsenal were rumored to be interested but I think it would be a good signing and if it is for anywhere 5-8 it is good business I feel. They will make that money back on the shirt sales alone.
