-----------------------Reina----------------------- -------------Skrtel--------------Agger------------- -Johnson-----------------------------------Enrique- -----------------------Lucas----------------------- ------------Gerrard------------Henderson----------- ---Suarez-----------------------------Dempsey----- -----------------------Borini----------------------- I think that's how Liverpool will set up next season, but I have heard that Liverpool are stalling on agreeing a fee for Dempsey as Fulham want £10m but Liverpool are only willing to go up to £8m. Away from this I still want Andy Carroll to be part of this and I think he must stay or we'll never see his best. Looking at Youth I think the likes of Suso, Sterling and Pacheco should be given a chance, but even if they can't start they should be able train with the 1st team to gain more experience. Especially with Pacheco if he doesn't get his chance now, I feel he will never get the chance as he's already 21, therefore we should look to sell if he's not going to get the opportunity.
Dempsey and Borini look likely. Other signings I think will be cover/ alternative to Lucas, which is extra import with him returning from a major injury. The other could be another striker if Carroll or Bellamy are off, or defencive cover.
I'd rather not sign anyone else (beyond 'this weeks two') and keep Carroll. Albeit, not to the same standard but Henderson and Spearing are able to cover Lucas
I`ve heard you have made a bid for Nathan Dyer, reliable source... cousin works in the kitchens at Melwood.
O|ur form slid from passable to absolutely shameful when Lucas got injured. Spearing was the cover. Though I do think Spearing still has a role to play.
I completely agree that our season went to pot when Lucas got injured but that was also in a 442, something I don't think we will do under Rodgers...
In the FA cup final we played this midfield. ...........Spearing----Henderson................ ....................Gerrard....................... Chelsea walked through it.
Agreed. We need Lucas back as quick as possible; I have never rated Spearing and Henderson is not a defensive midfielder and shouldn't be played as one. (hopefully I can be proved wrong this year - Spearing. Though it is a big ask)
I see Henderson in a very similar light to what I saw Lucas when he first arrived. Both have bags of energy and talent, both played out of position, both have the fans on their back and both need to prove themselves. It took Lucas two to three seasons to turn things around and has since become our most important (not best) player. Hopefully, Jordan can go part way to doing the same
-------------Lucas----------------- Allen----------------Gerrard ----Lucas-------Allen----------- ----------Gerrard---------------- Quite tasty.
