They have been linked with both Skrtel and Agger. But we need them both.
Yea, they can look elsewhere. Mancini must be able to get one from Italy with his knowledge of Italian football.

10.06 BST West Ham United have confirmed to ESPN that they are interested in signing Liverpool striker Andy Carroll on a season-long loan. Full story
IF Borini is the exciting signign then Rodgers still has some room to learn then at our club. exciting signings are Cavani, Lavezzi, Lewandowski, Tello, Pedro, etc not Borini.
Borini might fit the bill and be exactly what we need but I think there are two different wavelengths on "exciting"
It could also be Suarez with a new deal.

Of course the 'exciting' news could be that Andy Carroll is leaving![]()
True Rodgers is crafty!!
We shall see, as long as these players do the job then fine, but if we miss out on some top talent because of a few mil then it will not feel too great.......again.
I agree, I also agree with LFC-009 in the fact that I'm quite excited about Borini if he does sign. Don't know why so much people are moaning :L

Again it's the papertalk and they are usually sauced up but I heard we bid for Krasic around 7.5??
Is Gaston Ramirez a likely target or is that caughtoffside.com talk?
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has made a move for Real Madrid winger Jose Callejon.
The Daily Star says Rodgers hopes to pull off the £7m signing of Callejon from Real Madrid in the next few days.
Liverpool boss Rodgers targeted the winger – who can also play as an attacking midfielder – after losing out to Tottenham in the race for Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Callejon, 25, scored 13 goals for Madrid last season despite being used largely as a substitute, and fits the Rodgers mould.
A source close to Callejon said last night: “The chance to play for Liverpool is very attractive for the kid. They have made him an offer.
“But it will be up to Jose Mourinho whether he is allowed to leave or not.”
And from nowhere ( this nowhere which had Granero bid turned down)

Does anyone think that buying Borini might help Aquilani stay? ...
