Yea, they can look elsewhere. Mancini must be able to get one from Italy with his knowledge of Italian football.
Wouldnt be surprised if city went after Chiellini or Bonucci both class acts and I think Bonucci is only young
10.06 BST West Ham United have confirmed to ESPN that they are interested in signing Liverpool striker Andy Carroll on a season-long loan. Full story IF Borini is the exciting signign then Rodgers still has some room to learn then at our club. exciting signings are Cavani, Lavezzi, Lewandowski, Tello, Pedro, etc not Borini. Borini might fit the bill and be exactly what we need but I think there are two different wavelengths on "exciting" It could also be Suarez with a new deal.
To be fair to Rodgers, he did say the 'exciting' bit off camera - probably not to raise expectations too high. And I am slightly excited by Borini - fast, hard working, clinical, young ...
True Rodgers is crafty!! We shall see, as long as these players do the job then fine, but if we miss out on some top talent because of a few mil then it will not feel too great.......again.
I agree, I also agree with LFC-009 in the fact that I'm quite excited about Borini if he does sign. Don't know why so much people are moaning :L
He would be a good signing but what I was pointing out was what most people with LFC see exciting as and that is another standard of player that we can't quite get at the moment. But we did snag Suarez so hope is not lost!
Hopefully one or two of them will be on the 'IN' list shortly... Also, if we got a good fee for Andy (15-20M) and invested wisely in another striker/winger I'd be happy enough. With 20M we could acquire say, Afellay, Krasic and have £5M in the pot for Dempsey/Allen.
Tbf, if we signed Borini, Aqua stayed and is interested, and got one of Callejon/Krasic/Granero/Ramirez I would be quite happy with that.
