Isn’t it 2 premier league loans? A loan from abroad would be ok wouldn’t it?
Seems so ... maybe. The rules I quoted were apparently only in reference to other english clubs so my apologies there - as ipswich had 4 loans in last season with 2 from abroad and 2 domestic.

Would like some proper clarification on that rule because as far as I was aware it was just 2 loans full stop. But if there is the opportunity to loan from abroad too then we could spend some major money on CBs and fill the gaps with loanees.
Looks like Ipswich had 4 last season. Two domestic and two foreign. Dunno if the foreign limits have changed since we were last here.

I'm sure someone can bother to make sense of it.

I can definitely see us doing a deal or two like the Le Fee one last season where it’s a season long loan with an obligation to buy if we avoid relegation, could see a few big players who are out of favour at their parent clubs come available

Isidor will score goals in any league.

He will always be frustrating and he will always miss a few, but he gets himself in great positions and many of his finishes are absolutely stunning.

He can’t head for **** but going across the keeper or first time he often drops your jaw.

The Coventry first leg goal is a great example, that’s the kind of chance we will get in the PL.

He can head to Saudi with my blessing if they wanna fling us £40million plus, but I think he is more suited to the PL, more suited to the bigger breaks between games, and scores a similar amount to last season.

That is before we even start on his magnificent character and how much of an off the park asset the kid is.

Wilson stays for me.
One of the best things about SAFC for me,
Love everything about the bloke.

Nordi Mukiele: an end-of-summer dossier

It took a few hours six months ago. Bayer Leverkusen and PSG had been close, last winter, to finalising a transfer of Nordi Mukiele, then loaned across the Rhine. Since then, the prospect of reaching an agreement has moved away. The German club, plagued by internal developments (beyond the departure of Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid), has changed its initial plans. The French international (27 years old, 1 selection, under contract until 2027), bought about €10 million in Leipzig in 2022, has returned to the capital. In recent weeks, English clubs have initiated contacts. Without it finding a favourable echo in the player. The former Montpellier has also pushed back exotic destinations (Saudi Arabia) and Turkey. The right-back is waiting for a high-level challenge in Europe.

Me too mate. A rare sort of talent imo. Just delighted we saw 2 years of him, and how much he took us to his heart. I have no doubt our rep as a club grew because of him.

I always thought it was a bit daft when people insisted RLB/Speakman/KLD were all being held to ransom by the Bellingham family ….

… he was in the squad on merit while, at the same time, developing into a massive cash asset.

This is why I can see how the club are trying to manage other players like Mayenda, Huggins, Alese, etc. …

… without those players we’d quickly run out of the huge sums we’re spending on the likes of Xhaka.

We can’t compete financially, with some clubs, so we have to be smarter.
