I know I said I wouldn't want too many players in their 30's joining for large sums of money but if they bring the right experience and fill the right spot in the squad, I'm all for it. Granit Xhaka would be one such player.

If a ball playing left sided centre back with Premier League experience who has "French" connections and a previous working relationship with one of our new staff members were available, I'm confident that's an avenue we're exploring.
