    I think you are 100% right mate. Academy level football, at the Cat 1 and 2 level anyway, is quite an environment nowadays. It has become a race to the bottom in terms of ages to get kids. There are protections upto ages on distance travelled but I still think 16 is too young to leave one academy for another. For us now it is a case of keeping up with the Jones's. I dont like it, but think if we are ever to really challenge for trophies it will down to the success of the academy.

    according to SAFC.com we agreed a club record fee of €16M for Ndong. (£13.6M at the time according to sky sports)
    (which is less than Sadiki obviously)

    No mate. There has been a translation issue. Regis was heard on his phone ordering his favourite french shampoo (apparently the portugal hotel stuff is too harsh when it gets in the eyes) and Dan Neil thought he said Lauriente so tipped Romano.
