I think you are 100% right mate. Academy level football, at the Cat 1 and 2 level anyway, is quite an environment nowadays. It has become a race to the bottom in terms of ages to get kids. There are protections upto ages on distance travelled but I still think 16 is too young to leave one academy for another. For us now it is a case of keeping up with the Jones's. I dont like it, but think if we are ever to really challenge for trophies it will down to the success of the academy.
