funny how this always works out. We have very few numbers available but we have Adingra’s old number, we had ELFs old number when he joined and we have Lucumi’s number free as well

Being a bit part player in your breakout season for the most dominant team of that era in Switzerland and getting a double off the back of it isn’t quite the same as captaining your team to the Champions League mind imo. You could’ve got in that he won the u16s cup with Basel anarl!

Hopefully we get the fella in seems to fit the right profile of what we need in that role.

Winning a league title in your own country is significant.

That’s just plain facts.

And why disregard the 2 FA Cup, Bundesliga and Pokal?

He won them later in his career, sure. While Jordan was in Saudi then Holland winning nowt.

Really odd arguments these as I’ll repeat for the 312th time.

Logged back in after a few pints abroad. Xhaka would be incredible, I do hope it comes off. That being said, if it doesn’t, the level of players we persist to be linked with this window honestly leaves me amazed. Xhaka might happen, it might not, but we look fully set to aim to have a squad to compete well in this league (the hardest league in the world, by the way). This is the most excited I’ve ever been to be a lads fan. We just need to enjoy it.
