We will come onto it eventually but RLB has said he wants the next two weeks to see if Ahmed can step up to a good level. I assume we will start working on it again after that

I wonder if we have loan options in mind. They may only become realistic later in the window when other teams have settled their squads? Whilst judging players in early pre-season games is never sensible I did think Abdullahi showed some promising signs. He made some lovely runs off the shoulder, really well timed. He looked to get into good positions and on one or two occasions he and Mayenda rotated well I thought. It will be interesting to see how he gets on against better opposition as pre-season progresses and most likely a loan out will be on the cards, but he may well earn a squad place.

He won them later in his career, sure. While Jordan was in Saudi then Holland winning nowt.

Because domestic trophies aren’t really all that? I’m sure JH won a few of those, nowhere near comparable to winning the PL or CL though. If we’re just going off numbers alone Scott Carson has won 14 trophies without kicking a ball so he’s had a better career than Salah.. not the best example mind he’s got 4 premier league titles and a CL :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I think Coventry are in for a massive shock this season. They had a decent run at a time when teams like Boro, West Brom, Norwich, Blackburn, etc, all had meltdowns. The 3-0 win, over Sunderland, completely fooled them into believing they were bound for the Premier League. They still clearly believe they were somehow cheated out of the playoffs despite barely having a decent shot.

One said yesterday that Sunderland only have one decent player and need 10 new starters to avoid the lowest ever points total ...

... they're even blasé about their lack of signings because they believe the team is already good enough!

They're a club I hate with a passion and I really hope it goes tits up for them this season.
