He is notorious for spending time with fans, supporting disabled and troubled kids, having time for everyone and being a brilliant bloke.
He likes to enjoy himself when out of season and not a person on earth can begrudge him that.
He is a diamond of a bloke, look at the endless social media posts of him being humble, genuine and caring, refusing to be rushed away from young mascots etc.
He’s been pissed in Ibiza a few times and he did have the incident during Covid but he has 1000 times covered that with acts of sheer human decency.

Honestly its the more the fairly persistent rumours of him drinking to excess during the playing week still. I quite like him as a person more generally. Seems a lovely bloke. I'd trust our side to know if its true or not of course if we did go for him.

You say that, but if it was a 50/50 split, based on his rumoured wage, it would only be around £7m for the season...obviously not including a loan fee.
