There's a part to this that people are not considering either - he was leaving a Champions League club to potentially come to a relegation fight... He'd already decided more money was a good enough reason to move.
We can't get too snobby about this stuff when the wages we can offer mean we can sign players from France and Italy who have no business joining a newly promoted club. I know we have an "ambitious project" but trebling their wages doesn't hurt either.

We are a really attractive team now, we develop players and give them a platform so hopefully that's enough to get a lad like this to sign
In fairness every single Leeds signing has only come into the media the day before it's announced, I'm sure we will do a couple similar.

I agree with all of that after I watched the obligatory youtube video earlier in the thread. I would also add that he plays wit his head up and sees passes to teammates in a better position early and executes fantastically well - certainly a team player
